Best of 9 progesterones I've tried! It's SUPPOSED to be 1/2 full!
I've tried a total of 9 bioidentical progesterone oils & creams during my perimenopause journey & this one is hands down THE BEST & MOST ECONOMICAL. If you read this review, you’ll probably notice I have an “agenda”, which I’ll tell you right now is to keep this product available. Because 4 of the first 6 reviews were 1 star - & 3 of those 4 were because of the customers’ own ignorance (the 4th involved a short sell-by date, so the company needs to pay attention to that – hasn’t happened to me though). To be clear, I’m not connected with this company in any way, this is not a paid/incentivized review & my only self-interest in writing this glowing review is to keep the product (which as of today has a 3.1 star average) from being discontinued by the company.First, a few points about the negative reviews, which I'm glad I knew enough to ignore.1. The company did not rip you off - it's SUPPOSED TO BE ONLY HALF-FULL so that you can effectively shake the contents to blend them! If it was a full, smaller bottle, you couldn't mix it easily - but this way all you need to do is shake it a few times. It's a smart design, but the company needs to do a much better job of explaining that up front so customers don't think they've been short-changed. Yes, it does say "BOTTLE IS 1/2 FULL BY DESIGN" right on the label, in all caps, but I'm afraid the company has over-estimated the intelligence of the average consumer.2. A couple of the 1-star reviews criticized the "white substance" that wasn't mixed in (in a product that contains only 3 ingredients - fractionated coconut oil, vitamin E oil & progesterone - obviously the white substance is the progesterone). The label clearly states "SHAKE WELL BEFORE EACH USE" (again, in all caps) "for optimal dispersion of oil". (Actually, it's the progesterone that needs to be dispersed in the oil to create a suspension, the company should clarify that.) I noticed that both reviews were written in December/January, which means colder temps in most of the US, which causes oils to thicken. So my guess is that the product needed to be brought up to room temperature in order to allow the progesterone to effectively blend with the oils by shaking. Regarding the "white spots in the *dropper* that wouldn't mix" - how the heck is it supposed to mix *inside the dropper*?! Just squeeze it into the bottle & shake it up with the rest!3. Also, one of those reviewers asserted that Progestelle is better because it's "completely clear with no white powdery residue". Well, this stuff is at least 2.5X more concentrated than Progestelle (2000mg progesterone per ounce of Pro-Pause vs only 800mg in the Progestelle) so it's not surprising that it's not clear. But the reason I say it's *at least* 2.5X more concentrated is that Progestelle says each dropperful (30 drops) contains 20mg progesterone (= 0.67mg per drop), while Pro-Pause contains 4mg progesterone per drop. That would make Pro-Pause *6X* more concentrated! Progestelle's recommended dosage is 30-90 drops (what they claim is 20-60mg progesterone) & they say 1 ounce/30 ml equals 40 dropperfuls, the same 1 oz amount of Progestelle is only a 13 - 40 day supply. So Progestelle is WAY more expensive & you have to deal with all that extra oil (blegh).Pro-Pause's progesterone concentration is in line with the other 2 progesterone oils I've used sublingually (under the tongue) - Forefront Health Molecular Progesterone Complex (3mg per drop) & Bio-Matrix Pro-Adapt (4mg per drop). My complaints with those 2 are that they're significantly more expensive than Pro-Pause & taste much worse (Bio-Matrix is more than twice the cost on Amazon, ounce-per-ounce & it’s made with nasty-tasting rice bran oil). Both needed to be shaken before use & the Bio-Matrix also comes in a 1/2 full bottle (Bio-Matrix also includes on its label that in cool temperatures, the bottle needs to be warmed up to allow the ingredients to mix, Pro-Pause ought to include that info on their label as well). Forefront & Bio-Matrix both worked very well though (but no better than Pro-Pause) & the contents of the bottles (1 oz of Forefront & 0.5 oz of Bio-Matrix) lasted roughly as long as expected based on dosage/drops.Interestingly, both Bio-Matrix (0.5 oz) & Pro-Pause (1 oz) say their bottles contain roughly 500 drops & a total of 2000mg progesterone (at 4mg per drop). But according to various online conversion calculators, 1 US fluid ounce = apx. 591.5 drops, so it seems Pro-Pause is under-representing & Bio-Matrix is over-representing their amounts. Also, obviously they can’t both have 2000 mg total with 4mg/drop if the volume of one bottle is twice as much as the other. Despite the slippery math, my transition from Bio-Matrix to Pro-Pause over a month ago was seamless – so if there’s a difference in per-drop dosage, I haven’t noticed it.I use 10 drops per day of Pro-Pause – 5 in the morning & 5 at night – under my tongue. While Pro-Pause isn’t labeled for sublingual use (it says to rub it into the skin, rotating the area), it has the same ingredients as Forefront, which IS labeled for sublingual use. So I feel comfortable with that, others may want to stick with topical application.Having used various topical progesterone *creams* for about 8 years, I much prefer the oils – dosing is far more precise & the ingredients are much cleaner - with Pro-Pause being my favorite based on cost, performance & ingredients (& taste, since I use it under my tongue). Just keep it at room temperature, shake it before every use & enjoy the great deal you’re getting! And if you like it, leave a positive review to balance out the misguided negative ones, so we can keep buying this lol!

Best one I've tried
I was initially prescribed ProAdopt sublingually by a dr. And while the quality of the oil was great and worked as it was supposed to, the dropper and the dispensing process was an absolute nightmare. Tried Progest MAXX oil and that one was a complete failure in terms of the effect even though, based on the description, it was supposed to be more concentrated. Eventually, I've decided to give this oil a try as it looked identical in composition to ProAdopt, but less expensive. Loved it! It works just as well as ProAdopt, but the oil flows nicely, does not get stock in the dropper, no need to heat it every time you use it and I feel the effect within an hour. It works better then prescription progesterone pills. One big COMPLAINT is that after I finished the first bottle, the product became unavailable for a while. I could not find it and thought they've discontinued it. Even tried reaching out to the company to no avail. I wish they would have a reachable customer service department. It seemed unprofessional. That was a big disappointment. But I'm happy to see the oil is back and I'm stocking up just in case it disappears again. Not sure what the deal is with the company and how small it is, but the oil deserves 5 star rating for its quality and value.

Not manufactured properly…horrible customer service
The product arrived and I noticed a white substance around the top inside and pooled at the bottom. I emailed and called the company with no response. I finally used their contact form on their site and they responded with it’s normal for the powder to settle at the bottom which is not true if it is made properly. I was previously using Progestelle for a year and the oil is completely clear with no white powdery residue at all. It was not a high enough dose so I tried this product. The white powder also clumps in the oil when the temperature drops and gets stuck in the dropper (see pic). I have called, emailed, used the contact form numerous times and no response whatsoever from this company!!!! Returning the product as their are better options out there

Absorbs quickly
I found this product much easier to apply than the cream version. Just a few drops of the oil absorb quickly on a small area of skin.

Not as Strong as BHRT
As a biohacker, I want to say this is a great product; however, only giving 3 stars because it's made from natural ingredients and it's not actual hormone replacement therapy. I've been listening to Dr. David Rosensweet on health podcasts and I also read his book, "Happy Healthy Hormones" and I truly understand the difference between natural remedies and actual hormone replacement therapy. While this product is OK, it's about 500x weaker than actual progesterone.I've been using the progesterone by Dr David Rosensweet and I find it to be 100% effective at relieving symptoms. I'm sleeping better than I ever have in my life. You should use the oil topically, not internally. While this oil is safe to take internally, your stomach acid will destroy most of it.I LIKE this product to keep me calm, but for actual benefits, you need true progesterone. You can download a free PDF of Dr Rosensweet's book, but I bought the actual hard copy as well.Weather you are perimenopause or menopause, you will find true and genuine benefit from his work and his bio-identical hormone replacement oils.

Great Strong Product
This is the real deal ❤️ Above I found a comment of this not being ‘real’ progesterone, and I have to disagree. I think the woman through the ‘real’ to be progestin - a synthetic progesterone, that can cause cancer ( it did to my friend) . This is bioidentical- not as strong as synthetic, but natural and identical like the one in your body, I find it so strong I had to dilute it with more oil, using only a drop at a time several times a day. And, it lasts forever 😊
