I have been using these strings for some Open G tuning songs. Just dropping from the 10’s to the 9’s made a huge difference. The notes sound clean and crisp. I have a G&L electric. Everything seems easier and I think I spund better. Very happy, great price, delivered to door. Life is good.

Best strings I've ever used and I've tried a few other brands, but always come back to these. Been playing over 60 years and I've probably broke 3 D'Addario 'high E' strings in all that time, so to me these are just awesome as usual.

Once you find a brand and weight of strings you like, why change? I use either these or GHS Boomers on my guitar; I find them similar enough that I buy by availability and price. I do like how D'Addario color-code the ball ends of their strings, useful when changing them. On some guitars, I'll use the 9.5 gauge (yes, that's correct!), which I haven't seen from brands other than these two. As far as longevity and tone go, D'Addario strings are one of the most recommended for a good reason. I've had no reason to buy more expensive or boutique strings as these do the job quite well.

I have several Strat type guitars with tremo. I use light gauge and they last a long time and don't break. I think they sound excellent. Good luck!

Item: EXL120 9/42 - first time user.I got these to replace Ernie Ball 9/42's on my American Strat. They sound great and since I have 2 sets I'll probably put them on my Squire Strat too.Only issue so far is that the D and G string color codes were not correct on the strings. Black/D should be a wound string and the Green/G is not normally wound. If the D had been wound I would have been fine as I know this is a semi-normal thing.Hoping these last longer than the Ernie Ball's.

I ordered these on a whim after my husband asked me for D’addario strings. And now these are all he will use for his Ibanez js1000 . He said they are just better.
