I use this a temporary tool and so have it clipped to the front of my desk pretty close to me
Considering the price I was a little concerned on the quality but was pleasantly surprised.I use this mainly for electronics soldering and this has provided me with the ability to solder small parts whilst actually being able to see clearly what is going on. The light is strong and the lens is large and works well. The clamp is strong if a little hard to open all the way and holds the light on my desk without a problem. The neck is flexible and long enough for my needs but, I use this a temporary tool and so have it clipped to the front of my desk pretty close to me. I remove it when I use the desk for other things. If I were to clamp it to the back of my desk then I could see how the neck may be a little short and why others are having issues with the head snapping as the need to adjust with the head and not the neck. Being the light is close to me at the front of the desk I use the neck pretty easily like a magnifying glass handle to adjust and not the head. The power supply is rated for 110v & 220v so it is international (I am using it with 220v).Nice additions I would have liked to have seen would have been the ability to run on a USB powerbank (ie 5v input power requirement) possibly with a passthough USB connector for power (phone charging or the like) and a dust cover, either a plastic clip on or a drawstring bag to go over the head would do. Time to fire up my 3d printer again...Bottom line: Good lamp for the price (compared to others on Amazon), well built and feels like quality but the neck maybe a bit short if you want to clamp to the back of your desk and try not to maneuver it via the head and use the neck instead.

Handy. Works exactly how you'd expect
This will clamp onto the lip of most typical desks or tables, bend to where you need light to shine, and if you look through it, provided enough magnification to help with small detail work, reading fine print, etc.The clamp is very strong, and the light is very bright. It is handy to have the light available just to temporarily brighten up the desk area for other purposes even when not looking through it.The neck is not super long but it flexes just the right amount -- flexible enough to move where you want it, but stiff enough to stay put when it gets there. No drooping or sagging whatsoever. If you really need the light to be at a different place, just open the clamp and move the whole thing. It's a good solution. The lens is strong enough and clear enough to use on detail work like changing a watch battery, which came in very handy. It's the kind of thing that you find more and more uses for, that you had not expected at first.Having to plug it into a wall adapter is a slight inconvenience as it will dictate the kinds of locations you can use it. But I think most desks and work tables will be situated near enough to an outlet that this won't matter.Bottom line: We're very happy to have chosen this, out of the many competing and similar products. Don't know how we got by without it. Recommended!

Wow I love how bright the light is and magnification is awesomeness!!!
I went back to cross stitch and I tried everything, I had an Ottlite and a pair of reading glasses. Reading glasses gave me headaches and it still was not good enough. I had to have it big and bright enough to see where and how I was stitching. I have my project on a scroll frame so it was harder. I saw a review on this product that caught my eye and she said it was amazing that it saved her hobby! This light is so bright it can be used for almost anything. Easy setup, very strong clamp OMG need 2 hands to really clamp it on something. Love that feature. The magnifier was amazing and completely free to do any craft. Itβs flexible so you can bend it how you need and sit comfortably on a recliner and do your project. Even how unlady like you sit lol.. you can actually be comfy and do a craft and be comfy watching tv!! It is affordable that wont break the bank either. I love this product so much that Inam ordering another one

Better quality than expected... not five star's worth however
Pros::: real glass lens of decent quality:: LEDs are exceptionally bright but not obnoxiously so:: as mentioned by an earlier review -- the clamp is also better than expected:: overall, much less chintz in the content than expected at the price pointCons::: 'socket' lamp neck attaches to in clamp made of plastic; way it's meant to rotate in it, least-effort design:: power jack into bottom of lamp neck not 90-deg elbow, so if you need to rotate the neck it drags the cable around a fair bit -- hopefully your need for the light doesn't include moving it around a lot:: packaged in Styrofoam of all things, in 2019 -- not cool:: power jack cord also not of hi quality -- I'll see how long it lastsMy use case for this light isn't daily or pro use, just occasional hobby stuff... so it should suffice as I wasn't going to spill $75 for its search hit rival (but whose ratings are thru the roof and daily use design baked in). Will update if things go either better or worse, but my feeling right now (received today 28 Feb 2019) is it's better than I expected it would be based on where it was designed and made, and that's always a plus.Four stars, tentatively...15 MAR 19: had to use the lamp for a fine mechanism fix... this design (other than the annoying non-elbowed power jack) is more than sufficient for a hobbyist + small components. My favorite aspect is the illumination -- for the price it's perfect for the application.I'd not use it so much for reading though, as the neck isn't long enough to place it close enough to your face to see a whole page of a book or manual. No components failed yet, so no other complaints... but the previous ones are still valid. Four stars...
