Big Green + Pro Formula

I needed a carpet cleaner that is heavy duty and gets close to the walls, Big Green is just what I was looking for. I have had this for about 2 years now and have had no problems with it. It is easy to fill and easy to clean. It has a hose attachment for use on furniture or getting to those spots that are hard to get to. This is probably the best carpet shampooer that I have ever owned, and I have had some big brand named carpet shampooers. One thing I would suggest is to get a rubber mat to put under this thing when storing it just incase there is leftover water in the cambers... it might leak out. But, all-in-all, this machine has lasted me a lot longer then other brands and is still going very strong. Being wheelchair bound for a prolonged period of time after an accident, my carpets were a mess due to having three dogs (2 of them puppies) who love to dig in the dirt and play in the mud. And the hair!!! I wanted to have the carpets replaced but was too embarrassed to have anyone see them in the condition they were in, so I decided to spring for this after reading many independent review sites. I am amazed and delighted! This makes my carpets look and feel new, except for a few stubborn stains that one has to look for.Some things I've learned: use the full amount of detergent recommended. It works much better on really dirty carpets if you do. Use a spot stain remover on really bad stains; it helps. It does leave a slight soapy residue, so I go over it again with clean water in the shampoo tank. It's well worth doing; the carpets are left soft, springy and odor-free.I haven't had it long, so I don't know about it's durability, but I've done three rooms so far and am just over the moon with the results. Not going to be replacing any carpets for a long time!

We have three dogs, and five kids ranging from 20 months to 20 years. After being in this home for four years the carpets were TRASHED, but we didn’t really want to replace it as next year we are hoping to rip tile out, remove carpet and do something else. So we invested in this and THANK GOD WE DID!! The second I turned it on, let stains disappeared that I couldn’t budge for years. Spaghetti stains came up. Blue popsicle stains (yeah don’t ask haha) I literally would do one pass, turn the machine off and yell through the house ‘hey everyone, holy crap come look at this! It’s AMAZING!!’Takes some getting used to as it is a heavy machine but once you get the hang of it- saweet! The suction is awesome, carpets are completely dry rather quickly. Only thing to note is that if you have old or cheap carpet, you may get some fraying at seams. But all in all, this machine is a life saver, I’m not embarrassed to have people over anymore!

The unit seems to be well made. The parts seem to be fairly thick and tough. The unit weighs a lot, so it is kind of hard to carry up and downstairs, especially with the tanks installed. Like most carpet cleaners, the dirty water is extremely dirty. Unlike most other carpet cleaners, you can really see the difference in the carpets! There was no need for side-by-side comparisons. The difference is obvious. I'm not sure how much credit goes to the cleaner or the shampoo that comes with it, but the combination of the two really worked well! I downgraded the stairs mostly because of the weight. It would be nice if the hose was long enough to reach all of the stairs from either the top or bottom, but you can't.

This may be pricey but it’s worth it. It got my floor that we were planning to rip out looking brand new. It does wonders on dog messes as well as anything else that isn’t burned that I’ve encountered. It is durable and does not clog East like their cheaper shampooer that requires you to keep is super clean and dry every time or it won’t do what it’s supposed to every again. This one seems to not have that problem at all. It holds a lot of shampoo solution and has a big tank for what you pull out. I’m super happy I decided to go for it and spend the money. And I’ve had this quite a while now. Months and months. Maybe more than a year but I not sure on date. You will definitely like this if you have big jobs or lost to clean up out of carpet or want something that will make it brand new and is durable and has a long lifespan. For things in tight areas and edges and furniture you have to use the hose attachments. It comes with a nice one and if you have the other ones you for other Bissell shampooers they are interchangeable and that’s a plus!

This is an amazing carpet cleaner; however, it is not made to easily go around tables, chairs and corners. It cleans with backward and forward strokes making it not only easier to deep clean the carpets, but also quicker as it removes much more water with each stroke than the standard cleaner. As previously mentioned, it is not easy to move around furniture. It has a horrible turn radius. It’s much easier to clean if you move as much furniture out of the room as possible and only work around the large pieces.

I have an old dog and a toddler and they both can make quite a mess. This machine is an absolute godsend. Deep cleans. Gets out stains that have been in the carpet for years. I didn't realize my carpet was this light colored!!!! The real test was that we pulled out a large piece of furniture that had been in the same place since I moved in--a whole long time ago and after using this cleaner--my daughter commented--oh wow, the carpet matches the carpet that was under the furniture. It dumps a whole lot of water on the carpet and really deep scrubs. This may be my favorite all time purchase ever!!! (I've gone through a lot of carpet cleaners over the years--like 5). This is the best one ever!!
