Works great, but I has a weird JST-PH battery connector that is hard to find.
This worked great for my Raspberry Pi Zero W, but I had trouble finding a battery to fit the odd JST-PH connector. I could only find overpriced batteries at Adafruit that would fit out of the box. I ended up buying a 20 pack of JST-PH connectors for $7.99 and then had to buy some 18650 battery holders and solder up the JST-PH connectors to make it plug right in (extra $15 cost) You can use the two pins on the right hand side to add a regular JST connector, but it I was worried if I put a pin on the opposite side, it would short something out if it touched the board below. Why did they have to use such a weird connector, so they can sell overpriced lipo batteries?

Does what it needs to, very simply!
Works well! If the description doesn’t make it clear to you, be aware you need to solder this in place, so make sure you are capable of doing that. Otherwise, plug and play. Will be buying more!

This is a great adapter to use a lipo with pi zero, but this has NO CHARGING CAPABILITY. You will need a dedicated lipo charger to recharge your lipo pacs for use with this.

Works as intended
It was an absolute pain in the rear to get this part soldered in place, but once everything was connected it worked as intended.

Works Great
This thing is great! works like a champ. It would be great if they had an i2c port on them, is it covers up i2c. Maybe version 2.0.

Stability issues when using usb
I used this with a pi zero and a pair of 18650 cells for a pocket sized setup with eink display. With this lipo shim, the pi would reboot any time I plugged in a usb. I really would have liked to use the low battery signal from this, but ended up switching back to a more simple buck boost board for 5v, which is much more stable.

Really needs a little charging circuit to be useful. Once attached to the GPIO pins on Pi Zero, its difficult to find a case or enclosure that still fits everything in.

Yikes, Read the description
Failed to read the description properly, it’s a battery shield that doesn’t charge the battery, so, ended up in my bin.. I needed a UPS..
