Worked out better than expected !
They were purchased to replace 4 mismatched casters on an antique office chair. They are smooth functioning and do not leave any marks on laminate flooring. The method of insertion and design hasn't changed in 140 years!!!

Dad chair approved
My husband has this dad chair. It’s the recliner that he’s used for all of his kiddos for sushing to sleep and reading when they were little. The upholstery is so dang ugly and outdated, so now it is the garage chair. We wanted it to be able to move easily so we can get out-of-the-way for cars or garage hangouts. These casters were the perfect solution. The chair moves easily now. He's a big big man and he can sit in it fine. I wouldn’t encourage him to sit while rolling. It’s more move it where you want it to be and then sit down. But that might speak more to the chair leg sturdiness versus the casters Install was super easy. Should have come with instructions for what drillbits to use though. I figured it out fine, but I’m sure it be helpful for some.

These are great
I've been looking for something this size for a while. Most stem casters this size are hard clear plastic and do not roll smoothly. these are great.

Poor quality caused failure after 3 months; repurchased and failed again in 5 months
Although at first these looked great on my antique desk chair, these casters are not durable if you are going to use them for weight bearing purposes. After 3 months of light use (I weigh 140 pounds), the ball bearings on two wheels started to fall out (first photo)! Because the bearings are packed in grease, it made a further mess. So I decided that maybe the defective wheels were just part of a bad manufacturing lot, and thought I’d give it another chance by repurchasing them. This time I decided that instead of rolling up to my desk with my full weight in the chair, I would lean forward to take the weight off the chair, then pull the chair up to my desk (and the back of my knees), before sitting down. Well, 5 months later, one of the wheels disintegrated and sheared off its axle (second photo) as I was working at my desk! So I am giving up on this inferior product and have searched for other casters.
