EXCELLENT COOLER --BUT-- NOT ENOUGH HARDWARE!
The media could not be loaded. FIRST: THE BAD- GET METAL WASHERS! This kit could be perfect with that one inclusion. The problem is that the nylon washers included are not for support, they are for insulation, metal washers on each side of them would help greatly with making the mounting system sturdy. The other problem is that the springs can slip between the screw and the CPU Cooler making them not only useless but a hinderance to getting the cooler snugged down. I had to remove two of them with a pair of pliers that stretched and ruined them, I tossed them in the garbage. AGAIN, metal washer under them would have solved this issue perfectly! I had my old cooler bracket that used on the back of my board and metal washers over the nylon washers on the front of the board. With this mod, I was able to tighten the nuts much more securely and that offered a stable mount for the cooler.THE GOOD: This cooler itself is just about perfect!! The bracket is strong and does not flex. The copper contact pad is LARGE and not only thick, but the front is cut in trenches and grooves to increase the surface areas and gather a lot of heat. The plexi top is thick with well defined nipple threads and is sealed well with NO leaks. Where the nipples thread in, on the underside of the plexi it is cut deeper into half moon arcs that I think really aids in the transfer of cooled and hot fluids and it offers a small well area. I am VERY pleased with this cooler and it VERY WELL! With NO paste, cream or pad between the CPU and the cooler, my temp avg about 135 degrees from idle to light use. With light gaming my temp rose to avg 145 to 170 degrees that ocasionally spiked to about 185 degrees. With my i7 4770 overclocked (bootstrap set to 165) and a heat pad installed, my idle is now about 105 and with heavy gaming it does not go above 140 degrees. EXCELLENT COOLER!! Just don't forget to add a few metal washers.

Fantastic performance for the price
Currently using it as a GPU cooler for my Vega 64. Part of a CPU/GPU loop on a 420mm Rad.Under load on the GPU temps are maxing at 40c, same for HBM.Works incredibly well for it being less than $20 and I can't see how I would get better performance by spending up.

QA assembly
As an engineer I figured its an extremely simple design, how could anybody mess it up? Well, I got my answer.... assembly. There was a little spot where it pinched the o-ring and started to drip. Wasn't a bad leak, but a leak sitting right on a motherboard isn't good regardless. So pulled it apart for closer inspection and located the pinched spot. Unfortunately it's a combination of wrong type of o-ring and assembly. Even separating the shell didn't make any difference. It had been pinched for so long that the o-ring was permanently damaged. Could measure it and go to McMaster-Carr or Granger and likely get a replacement but I was angry enough to spend the money on a different one. What a waste, since it had good potential to be a simple low cost cpu exchanger.

Good for non-overclock users.
I bought this one because it looks cool and cheap. In term of the price, it worth 5 stars. However, there are two problems I found. Firstly, it has no backplate. It means the motherboard will receive all force when I try to tie it down to the CPU. Secondly, it has a pretty low flow. When the PC was in a normal mode, it kept the CPU temp stable at 39. When the PC was in an overclock mode, the CPU temp was jump up to 81-86 within a min although the pump and fan were at max speed. When I replaced it with the old Swiftech block, the temp was at 73-76. Obviously, I dont think this block is good for overclockers

Great block, no instructions.
I bought both the clear and the black ones at the same time for two seperate computers with 4790k's. Does not include instructions, but if your smart or experienced with mounting water brackets, you should not have a problem mounting these appropriately. With each screw, you kinda want to create a standoff by holding a philips head screwdriver in the back and tighten the smaller nuts appropriately compressing the spring until you cannot wobble the screw in it's place anymore. Like a standoff. How the screws come is kind of misleading. And you don't want to screw it in from the back with the philips. Also, great g1/4" threads for the plumbing.

Works well
Doesn't leak. I grinded the mount holes down to make it fit my GPU. I've never bought an expensive block. Oced my 5700 non xt to 2030 core boost 960 ram game stable, 50% max power using MPT from Igors Lab. Almost outdoing a $130+ block. You can see through it to see if it's clogged or dirty.

Basic, but good looking.
It does add a cool look to your build, just doesn't cool as well as some other blocks I've used in the past (runs about 5-8 degrees hotter consistantly). It's still WELL within tolerances even under load though, and is a great deal for the price I paid. I've made a living installing various water cooling solutions on my builds and this ain't my first rodeo. It went in simply, nice quality and all the parts fit well. I've paid 4x as much and gotten screws that were unevenly tapped, etc. It doesn't have led ports drilled in, so do be aware of that.

Quality at a competitive price!
Works flawlessly, and at a vey competitive price point. I plan on purchasing one of the AM4 CPU blocks in the future!10/10, will buy again!
