Blum Compact Face Frame Hinge with Blumotion 1/2" Overlay Pair

The kitchen cabinets in my house have Salice hinges. The Salice hinges looked like pretty standard face frame European style hinges, but one of my cabinet doors sagged. No matter what I tried to adjust on the hinges, the door would sag. The Salice hinges seemed to have some 'slop' in them, and this particular door was narrow and long, putting additional stress on the hinges.I finally gave up and bought these Blum hinges. Instant improvement. The door is now perfectly level, no sagging and no slop or play in the hinges or door. And the Blumotion is a bonus--no more doors banging shut.Having dealt with both Blum and several brands of non-Blum hinges, I will always buy Blum. It's hard to believe, but there just isn't any comparison. The superior adjustability of the Blum hinges alone is reason enough, while the quality of Blum closes the deal. For just a few dollars more, Blum is well worth it.

Easy to install. Seems durable. Replaced a similar Salice hinge that broke apart.

These were my first attempt at this style hinge. I used the Kreg jig for drilling the holes and all went very smoothly. They were easy to install, easy to adjust, and work well. I will buy again as needed,

I needed to replace a "regular" overlay hinge to get more clearance for some sliding spice racks. The Blum low-profile was the perfect solution.Just have to get used to the Blumotion closing action as that's new to us.

The adjustment screws are the cheapest quality I've ever seen. Combine that with the fact that they are ridiculously tightly torqued at the factory, and a 10 minute job installing 4 hinges has turned into 40 minutes. I had to drill out 3 of the larger adjustment screws because they would not budge, and I ended up stripping the heads trying to loosen them. Puzzled as to why these get such high ratings, but this will be the last time I buy Blum hinges. AVOID.

Easy to install on my 30+ year old cabinet doors. The soft closure is a little stiff or slow to close but i didn’t adjust them — time will do that. Very pleased with this buy. Ordering a few more sets to put away for the next old hardware failure.
