Low image quality
Terrible image quality. Here it is shooting it's own box under normal lighting conditions at around 4 inches, potentially farther away than you'd want on a wide FOV camera. It seems to need very high amounts of light, FastCap tape was added to show distortion.

Very Nice Little Camera
This is a nice little camera, suitable for web meetings and telehealth visits. How frustrating is it to talk to someone and it seems as if they're looking at something else? We tape this tiny camera to the middle of the screen so the person we're talking to sees us looking right at them, even when we're looking at the screen! Everyone should use this camera like that!

Upside down picture
Based on the Amazon pictures, I expected this camera to hang on my monitor and position where I wanted it. But doing that makes the video upside down! So I’m taping the camera to my screen when using it. This is odd and may not work for you. I’m making it work because there aren’t a lot of sufficient options out there

An entry-level webcam for casual use. Other cameras have sharper video and better sound.
The PEGATISAN 1080P Webcam is a decent option for those in need of a budget-friendly camera for video conferencing, gaming, or casual calls. While it delivers acceptable performance for its price, it falls short in some key areas that might deter users seeking higher-quality visuals and sound.Pros;Wide-Angle Lens: The 120° field of view is excellent for capturing more in the frame, making it suitable for group calls or presentations.Compact Design: Its mini size makes it easy to carry and position on laptops or monitors.Plug-and-Play Setup: Easy to install without additional software, compatible with popular platforms like Zoom, Skype, and Teams.Affordable Price: Provides video at a budget-friendly cost.Cons;Mediocre Image Quality: While advertised as HD 1080P, the image lacks sharpness and struggles in low-light conditions, resulting in grainy visuals. No Image Zoom; I like to sit back in my chair when on Skype which makes my head appear tiny in the video, since the camera provides no image zoom capabilities. No aiming adjustment; Once you mount the camera on your monitor, there are no pan or tilt adjustments, unless you turn the whole monitor.Audio Limitations: The built-in microphone is functional but picks up a lot of background noise and lacks clarity, making external microphone a better choice.Fixed Focus: The absence of autofocus makes it less ideal for dynamic movements or close-up tasks.Overall ImpressionThe PEGATISAN Webcam is a passable choice for basic video calls or meetings, especially for users on a tight budget. However, its lack of image quality and poor audio quality, makes it less suitable for professional scenarios.I only used it a short time, and should have returned it, but missed the return date.

You Will Probably Need Software Like OBX Studio to Use As a Webcam
I bought this because I have a huge monitor at work (it's 39" 4K, which is great) and decided I had to put my webcam right in front of my monitor so that I would be looking into the camera instead of way off to the side or way up or down. The key is that this camera is tiny. Really small, like a half inch square, so that you can put it right in front of your monitor and it blocks very little. So I got a very thin rod and attached the thin cord to the rod so that it hangs down from the top of my monitor. I remove it when I'm not on a video call.I will admit that I don't know much about cameras, so the 110 degree field of view didn't mean anything to me. But when I took it out of the box and plugged it in I realized the problem. You can see everything in the entire room, which is not very professional. After lots of googling I discovered OBS Studio free software which allows you to create a "virtual camera" to use on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other (but not all!) conferencing platforms. This way you can cut the image down to size in software, getting exactly the framing you want of your face and torso or whatever. The software is very flexible, but a little fiddly. Once you get it set up, though, you can forget it. So now I have a great video conferencing experience from my desktop with huge monitor. Worked very well for a very reasonable price.

Wide angle, powerful fisheye effect, gets too hot to touch
If all you need is a tiny camera, this is okay. I wouldn't use it for zoom or the like. I was hoping to use it to create more of an eye-contact type effect with my clients, but the fish eye effect is way to strong, and the angle of view is pretty wide. And within 5 minutes of connecting it I couldn't touch it, it was so hot. Returning it.

Using this as a nozzle cam for a 3d printer
Small enough to get into the tight spaces
