Solid, reliable, and easy to use mid grade camera with a nice lens.
I've tried a bunch of these recently ranging from a variety of mini wifi cams to DIY USB project cams and have even grabbed a couple of the higher end custom build USB cams. For whatever reason, cam tech is still a little clunky at times and even many of the nice units I've purchased were either unreliable for basic camera stuff, or were impossible to get dialed in or working with certain devices. I was actually pretty skeptical of this one at the ~$50 price point but decided to give it a try. It is definitely not the top end where the sensor itself is concerned but certainly not the low end either by any means, but it's VERY reliable, and testing on every os except Apple/Mac, it's been the easiest plug and play device that I've owned hands down. It also seems to use a really solid lens. So you may not be taking 2600X2200 images with it, but the 1200X900 (or whatever) images you take are super clear. No glitching, no heat problems and most of all, despite see a little thin in the wire and casing, I've beat the hell out of it and it's held up significantly better than any other that's I've owned. The thing wire is also perfect vs every other device I've purchased that comes with what seems like 4 gauge copper. Not so handy if it's supposed to be a concealed camera. If you're after a good pinhole camera that won't break the bank, take really solid but not over the too great images, and is isn't too power hungry, this is what you want. These guys did a nice job of finding some balance for under $50 bucks. Just one guys opinion

Thought it was used, it worse
The box had an oil stain on itThe bag was openthe cord was recoiled and they even reused the twisty tie ... all making me thing used.side note: I know very little about cameras compared to the professional or security professionalit has blobs and blurs all over the image, the above picture may or may not show it, it's a screen capture from a quick test using Microsoft's built in camera app and Snip & Sketch app on windows 10 and in low light held an index card in front of it (I have no idea what the quality of image upload amazon provides so it might turn out to be a gray image) but there are 6 smug lines on the lower right 1/8th side, there are what looks like ~40 dust particles on the sensor causing blobs (here is where my inexperience shows as I'm guessing the cause of the effect). The above issues were enough to push me to request a replacement that I will review separately (but the same issues with blobs and smudges) so no it's not "used" issues, it a bad product, or a good product handle and shipped badly. This camera is not good for low light, just a side note, but does not effect my use.So I requested a replacement and the second one I got the lens was not attached and the camera keep cutting out and the picture has even more blobs and smudges. The bag was still open, the twisty tie looked new even though the box looked pristine.

Excellent!
Great image quality. Bought this for a backup camera - small form factor that fits inside the trunk lid handle, and it isn't mounted on some obnoxiously large PCB.With V4L2, it works right away and advertises a number of MJPEG frame sizes. Tested on a Raspberry Pi 4.Does not "plug & play" with Debian 11, but that isn't why I bought it.I should add this works with ordinary M12 lenses (e.g. for ArduCAM). However, for anything but the lens delivered with the camera, the focal distance is somewhat tricky to deal with: The lens threads will *just* fit in the camera body, requiring glue or some other fastening solution to keep it in place (that, or you'll get a blurry image)...Having 3 of these now, I can attest to the variability of the lens fit - 2 are easy to turn/adjust by hand, whereas the first order required pliers.

Not recognized on a Mac with latest OS.
Not recognized. I wanted to use this as an eye sight cam (placed in center of screen).

Better device than some larger models.
Love the small size. Takes a better video than most of the larger ones I have seen. Picture quality is awesome.
