Slushy Goodness
When this first came out a few years ago, I had a part-time job in the Housewares department of a large retail store. And I thought it was kind of ridiculous, to be honest! But once I started looking into them and saw how much people seem to like them, I decided I needed to buy one, and I have changed my mind! I've only had it a few weeks and so far I have made frozen Margaritas, frozen Blue Hawaiians, and a Frozen Woo Woo in this thing. Next I'm trying a frozen Citronella Cooler, and I want to try frozen smoothies in it, also. What can I say, I'm sick of winter, and I'm practicing for a summer cocktail party! LOL!I love the way it makes the ice the consistency of slush instead of tiny pieces of ice chunks like it did when I tried to make frozen drinks in a blender. I have not bothered using the No Brainer Mixing jar - I just measure out the ingredients and put them directly in the pitcher but I might try that out when I have more people to serve and want to make larger quantities. I purchased the cover as well because I don't have a big kitchen and will need to store it somewhere between uses. All in all, the product seems sturdy and works great, though I have to agree with what others have said about it making 3 drinks a little more reliably than it makes 1 drink. The ice seems like it doesn't quite get shaved as well, but maybe I just need more practice. ;-)Aesthetically, I would have preferred for the pitcher lid to be the same color as the base. It's more of a greenish chartreuse color (it's got too much yellow in it) than it is a shade of lime green. That's a pretty minor point, but it's really the only criticism I can come up with. Love it so far, and recommend it to anyone who entertains or just enjoys frozen drinks.

We love it!
I love this thing! Simple design, easy to use, makes a great margarita in a minute or so. Just put your mix in the pitcher, fill the ice reservoir with ice, turn it on and push the big button (probably big intentionally for the second or third batch, haha). If you want more ice, just flip a switch. If you want to blend it longer there's a switch for that too. But we normally just push the big idiot proof button. This will make a batch that fills 3 margarita glasses. Clean up is easy.I used the measuring device once, but then abandoned it favor of our tried and true margarita mix. 1 cup frozen Lime Aid, 1 1/4 cups tequila, and 1/4 cup of triple sec (or orange flavored brandy), adjusting all of these slightly to your own personal taste. We drink more margaritas than we used to....maybe we should try blending some other concoction......not

THIS IS THE BEST MARGARITA BLENDER EVER!
This Margaritaville blender is the best thing I have EVER bought!! The margaritas come out perfectly smooth due to the shaved ice, no ice chunks for this girl anymore! I love that it also comes with the Bahamas Frozen Concoction Maker! This is a fool proof guide to making the best tasting margaritas!! So glad we bought this for my Cinco de Mayo party! This lil baby is going to be used all summer!! I can even make snow cones!!! I love that this comes completely apart in order to deep clean the blade and inner working parts. I also like that it is all automated... you hit start and watch it go! You'll never use a traditional blender to make margaritas again!

*bag not included in purchase
We’ve used this blender and are very happy with it, but the purchaser should be aware that in the photos listed there is a picture of a carrying bag. However, that is not part of the order. It is a separate purchase and is close to $100 to purchase separately.

Love it!
Other reviewers have already said it all: easy to use; easy to clean; versatile; fun to use. Frozen margaritas, pina coladas, daiquiris - even shaved ice desserts. Finely textured shaved ice as opposed to the ice granules you'll get with most blenders. Once you figure out your favorite recipe (no, you do NOT need to buy pre-mixes - lots of easy and delicious recipes on the internet), it's a breeze to mix up batches. Tip: we mix up several batches of margaritas at one time and then freeze in quart freezer bags. The tequila and triple sec maintain the texture, so it's easy to scoop out one (or two) servings after work. This also works well for prepare-ahead parties. FYI: for an added touch, see my review for the Libbey Cozumel Margarita glasses (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JJZPKG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_28
