In The Line Of Fire (1 DISC - 4k Ultra-HD) [Blu-ray] [2021]

I saw Dragonforce several years ago in London with ZP Theart and they were fantastic and the energy coming from the stage was phenomenal. I admit I haven't heard much with the new singer, Marc Hudson, but was intrigued as to what he sounded like and how they come across when playing live. I was definitely not disappointed with this Blu-ray and was blown away with the picture and sound quality. I don't have surround sound but I do have a decent Yamaha soundbar and the sound quality comes across very nicely. As for the live performance; Marc is very accomplished and can hit all the notes that ZP was capable of and the whole band are a tighter unit and have lost none of the technical brilliance and expertise they displayed all those years ago. The newer tracks are excellent; especially Three Hammers and the absolutely crazy Johnny Cash cover Ring of Fire. In fact I like the new singer and newer tracks so much I have just ordered Maximum Overdrive.As for the the between songs chat showing the band members relaxing, I found this interesting and quite humorous, and gave it gives a good insight in to each members musical tastes and hobbies (lots of nods to Black Metal, which definitely gets a thumbs up from me).This is an excellent Blu-ray with classic melodic power metal and some of the best technical guitar playing on the planet. Definitely worth 5 stars and I will be going to see them live again on the next tour.

This film was bought as an addition to a 40 film box set that strangely had this film missingAnyone thinking of getting this film I STRONGLY recommend this Clint at his best

While the first reviewer has a point about the pointless drivel between tracks that doesn't distract from this being an excellent DVD. The concert footage is everything I could ask for and the sound great. I would like a way to not have to play the non-concert footage. I suspect I could programmed on a remote but a viewing option wouldn't have been much effort. There is an extra menu with three more non-concert extras so why interrupt the music with this stuff?Overall I prefer the music on this disc to the live album Twilight Dementia.With suitable menus this would have been 5 stars but given this flaw I can only give it 4.

Excellent 4k polish. Atmos track. No Dolby vision which is good for me as have Samsung tv. Noticeable improvement very little grain thank god shame other movies of the period on 4k are not as good

A fantastic Eastwood from his later films. Underrated performance by him. Brilliant 4K picture and sound quality. Great price too

Un blu ray avec une très belle image... VF et VOST sont présentes

Para los fans del grupo es un producto perfecto. Se visualiza muy bien, se escucha, también, muy bien. A resaltar que entre canción y canción hay partes del documental en donde salen los músicos del grupo explicando su vida etc. En inglés.

Finalmente vediamo i DragonForce con un dvd/BD live. Il prodotto è eccellente e rappresenta lo spettacolo alla Saitama super arena in Giappone dove sono notevolmente più famosi e conosciuti rispetto agli ambienti occidentali. Difatti il colpo d'occhio è impressionante, una marea di gente che risponde ai richiami di Marc e canta con lui. A differenza quindi delle altre apparizioni nostrane dei DF dove supportano altre band suonando per poco tempo qui troviamo un concerto tutto per loro.Per questo live i DF hanno fatto qualcosa di diverso mettendo come intermezzo alle canzoni del live alcuni backstage e filmati del "Dietro le quinte". Sono piacevoli, anche se bisogna masticare un pò di inglese perchè non sono sottotitolati nella nostra lingua. L'insieme comunque si guarda bene, riesce a farti entrare nello spirito di una band "on the road", sempre in viaggio tra hotel e treni e le sezioni sono brevi così da non calare troppo l'attenzione dello spettatore sulle canzoni live.La tracklist è notevole e riesce ad accontentare più o meno tutti. Andiamo dalle nuove bombe come Three Hammers a perle del passato come Valley of the Damned e Through the fire and flames. Personalmente ho gustato della qualità visiva e sonora del Bluray e sono più che soddisfatto. La regia è eccellente, concentrata per lo più (come è giusto che sia) su Herman e Sam, due mostri capaci di assoli interminabili, il tutto condito (in qualche canzone) con telecamere sulle chitarre per gustare da vicino l'abilità che li ha resi famosi.Questo pacchetto, insieme al nuovo album, segna la totale e indiscussa rinascita dei DragonForce, pronti più che mai a regalarci nuove emozioni. Ovviamente consiglio l'acquisto a tutti i fan, e non fatevi scoraggiare dalla mancanza, nella tracklist, delle vostre preferite. E' stato uno dei motivi per cui ho ritardato l'acquisto e me ne sono pentito. Se ascoltate i DF, se amate i DF, dovete comprarlo, sedervi sul divano e gustarlo al massimo del volume per immergervi nella loro splendida musica.

Not the greatest movie, but Clint always satisfies the movie buff, especially in 4k.
