My wife's VAIO stopped working in March 2015 a month after the factory warranty would have covered the cost of replacing the motherboard. The cost of replacing the motherboard at that time was approximately 800 plus. I decided to check prices since I still had the computer laying around. I found it for 100. I installed it the same day I got it in the mail. I was able to turn on the PC! At first it said it couldn't find the operating system. All I had to do was turn the computer off and hit the Assist button to turn on the computer and get into the bios. I switched off legacy mode and returned setting to default and restarted from windows and it found the operating system. I am very satisfied with my purchase. This is my first motherboard replacement but I figured if I could take apart a cell phone for screen replacement, I could do this. The only additional thing I had to purchase was the thermal paste that goes between the cooling portion of the fan and processor. I highly recommend this replacement motherboard if you have a dead VAIO flip 14 laying around due to no power.
