Siruiw-2204 Waterproof Carbon Fiber Tripod, Black & Polished (6435)

Fantastic tripod! I got this one to replace my 23 year old aluminum Bogen tripod. This one is much taller and noticeably lighter. It's the perfect height for me. I'm 6' and using an average size ballhead my DSLR is right at eye level without extending the center column at all. I don't even have the center column attached, and the tripod will sit very low. Very sturdy, can't beat waterproof legs. I honestly have not found any negatives so far.Update: after a year I still very much like this tripod. The one drawback I have found is that the threads on the bottom of the legs are 10/1.0(mm) threads, which is not really standard, making it difficult to find different spikes or rock feet.Update 1.5 year later, still love it. Not a single problem.

Finally got a great carbon fiber tripod that's as good as any for a very reasonable price. Stiff, strong, great height, flexibility with the center column for low shots. Everything I was looking for. Has held up perfectly for the past 3 years. I really don't understand other reviews complaining of the stability of this tripod nor do I understand the "broken" pictures and reviews. I'm sorry "you" broke your tripod but under normal handling and usage this thing is very well built. Again, I've owned mine for 3 years and it functions like new probably because I don't abuse my equipment or try to break it like some competing manufacturer might do. This thing, for me, is rock solid at any height. No complaints. Highly recommended.

My new Sirui Waterproof Carbon Fiber tripod arrived ahead of time. I’ve just used it outdoors for the first time and I’m impressed by the stability it provides. I have rather heavy pan/tilt head supporting a 2.8mm lens and it was rock solid. I didn’t buy the Sirui for its waterproof quality but for its maximum height without the extended center column. I’m 6’3” and can use the viewfinder and live view without bending over. The ability to collapse the Sirui for macro use was another priority and the W-2204 seems to fit that bill as well. My only reason for not awarding 5 stars is my very limited experience.

This is one of the best travel Tripods that I have purchased in a long time. This is very light weight and so easy to use. I do a lot of photography and this holds my camera (Canon 1D Mark III) with my heavy lens without moving. This is perfect for my night photography! This replaced a 25 year old Slick Tripod that was very heavy but excellent tripod. I purchased the Sirui Ball Head and this made it a perfect match. I love the fact that this is waterproof and very light weight. Perfect for travel!

Great strong and lightweight tripod. I’m amazed at his well built it is and how tall it extend. I think it’s a keeper.

I bought two of such tripod over 2 years and here what I learned:Good - Well, it is light carbon fiber tripod. You will pay above $1000 for similar RRS tripod.Bad - Both of my tripod developed exactly the same problem. They lost stopper for one leg which makes them completly dysfunctional. One develop this in couple of weeks after I purchased it and took to my trip to Norway. Second one which I was protecting and keeping in bag most of the time survived entire year.Worse - Despite promised 6 years warranty Sirui USA refused to repair this. They told me "This is normal tear and wear". So, ... if you are buying the tripod for couple of weeks and expect such tear and wear it is your choice.

Gets the camera up to eye level, even without the center column. Very stable.

The two sections of the center column has too much play even after tightening the screw hardly. It wobbles a lot when the entire column is extended. The base is kinda small compared to manfrotto 055.
