Very complex unit and very capable - and Zyxel support is now on their game
Superior unit, does some amazing things with multiple internet circuits. And no fans, runs fairly cool. A very complex unit, and very capable.Update ** Apr 2, 2015I'm really impressed with Zyxel's efforts to staff up their support. I had not even tried to speak with them for months until recently. But all recent attempts were immediately answered, and every rep was surprisingly knowledgeable. To be honest, I was dumfounded because I expected the worst.I called a few weeks ago regarding a routing issue and they picked up within 10 seconds. 2cd/3rd time was the same. This is in total contrast to my earlier attempts when I was trying to configure the router for the first time. Those were met with 2-3 hour holds, cut offs, unknowledgeable agents, refusals of support, no replies, returned calls on and on.So kudos to Zyxel, this now makes owning this machine workable.I'm changing this review from a 2 to a 5 - a 5 because 1) they can now help @ the support level 2) for what it actually does there's nothing on the market that even comes close at the price and 3) it does what it's supposed to do and works well.My uptime is approaching 6 months now. Running 2 ISPs, it has failed over to the working circuit at least 50 times - all transparently without my knowledge. No one knew it, it just keeps the internet available 24/7. Then failed BACK when the broken ISP came back up. Now THAT's cool. We gave them a year to clean up their act, and they did just that.

Cannot handle 1Gbps speed, deceptive marketing
Pic 1: Speed that ISP WAN directly plug to my verizon fios router (940Mbps which match my fios Gig plan)Pic 2: Speed that ISP WAN directly plug to USG60 Firewall with all firewall services turn off (682Mbps)Pic 3: Speed that ISP WAN directly plug to USG60 Firewall with all firewall services turn on (497Mbps)Pic 4: Datasheet from Zyxel that show USG60 can handle 1Gbps speed (which is not what you think)Guess what they told me:"The firewall Spec was tested with protocol (RFC 2544; 1,518-byte UDP packets). Which allows maximum throughput. When test is done with different protocol or packet sizes that are not designed to reach maximum throughput, the test result would be vary"Basically what they means is the speed they test using UDP protocol is NOT relate to the speed you download something from the internet (NOT EVEN CLOSE)!!! Why would I care the speed of UDP????? This is how they trick you! This is a deceptive marketing, they told me I need USG210 or above model to handle 1 Gbps speedWOW NICE ONE BRO

Problem with compatibility with Comcast/Xfinity Voice Edge service
Ordered several of these and shortly after installation, starting having problems with connectivity. Internet dropping, sites not loading, SAAS not working, connection timeouts....Through trial and error, finally discovered that things worked fine until the Comcast EdgeMark device for the Voice Edge was plugged into the network. Contacted Comcast and Zyxel; both blamed the other. Zyxel seemed uninterested to help troubleshoot the problem. Solution, use monitoring in the firewall and send it to Comcast. Meanwhile, I have a client with business at a standstill.

Not quite the speeds!
Giving it 3 stars only because it sucks in speed. I have 1gb internet and this thing can’t do more than 400mbps. Not quite the 1gb speed advertised. Also it was a pain to setup because it starts with a wizard you can’t exit out of until done. I needed custom setup done and took a while to get around the stupid wizard. I am not sure Zyxel makes any products less than $500 that get better speeds. If you have slower internet then you are good.

Not bad.
Total overkill for my home network, but that's how I roll. Wanted something that had little impact on network latency while getting as many security features as possible. So far it has met expectations with no unusual behavior as of yet.The web UI is a bit hard to navigate, and can be very confusing. Some of the design aspects here are very....odd.My only question going in is whether or not it included rackmount ears. It does indeed come with them.Overall happy with my device.

Great SOHO firewall
You can use the 4 ports as a 4 port switch, or create 4 separate LANs, or a separate "guest" AP network, or any combo.Best feature is 2 WAN ports... makes it easy to have a primary ISP and a backup ISP. Auto switch over!Very easy interface for configuration!Only downside... the bandwidth thru the box will slow down with multiple heavy users of the internet.

Excellent, super fast Gateway
This was an expensive gateway for a home network, but we are a very high bandwidth using family and the throughput on this thing is awesome. Not simple by any means to configure, but if you do not want to utilize the bells and whistles, even a novice could have it up and running rather quickly. I would definitely recommend if for nothing else but the throughput speeds!

So Far So Good, I've tried two LinkSys Routers
So Far So Good, I've tried two LinkSys Routers, LRT214 and the LRT224, while I liked the simplistic setup and they did the functions I needed they required hard reboots at least every 24 hours or the GUI became unresponsive, that's not a good thing when working remotely. Granted the USG60 takes a bit of getting used to, and I really think they could use more tutorials, the best ones I found on google. They could really use a simple flow chart explanation of basic configuration tasks. The manual is 740 pages, the LinkSys was what 73.
