Great Pool for the Money
So far, a week in to using it, and we LOVE this Intex 12' x 24' x 52" above ground pool! After 2 Florida summers of using an Intex 18 ft round "blow up" style pool, which was way too shallow for us, this pool is a welcome upgrade. We purchased this pool primarily as a safe, low impact way to get cardio exercise and to stay cool during the brutal Florida summer months!A few things should be noted about our experience thus far:1) It is IMPERATIVE that you make time to do thorough ground prep work BEFORE attempting to set up the pool. Failure to do so will result in an un-level water line, plus you will feel every single uneven bump under your feet once the pool is filled with water. We spent close to 2 weeks taking out grass, raking, leveling, etc. We finally built a 2x4 wood frame so that we could be more certain about our finished grade. We gave 3 stars for ease of assembly rather than 5, purely because of the prep time it takes to get the ground right.2) The supposed ground cloth that came with the set is actually a super CHEAP, low quality tarp. Because we didn't feel like it was at all sufficient for the base of this pool, we purchased 1/2 inch foam interlocking "floor tiles" for the dimensions of the pool (12' x 24'). We used the ground cloth, then put down the pads and taped them together before spreading out the pool. Now that the pool is full, we are SO happy that we spent the extra time and money to do this. See photo as we started putting down the foam pads.3) You will have an added expense for supports to go under each leg. Lucky for us, friends had the perfect sized thick paver stones left over from a porch project, so we got this for free. On some pool install videos, people use pressure treated lumber instead of patio stones.4) Set up will go a lot easier if you let the pool set out in the sun for a day before trying to proceed with the install. Also, make sure you have a ladder assembled and ready before you attempt to set the pool up, as you'll need a reliable way to get in and out during the process.5) We are DIY seniors (66 and 75) who must admit that set up was a lot easier with a third person. Day one hubby tried to go it alone and just as he finished, a big 30 mile an hour wind gust came up and shifted the pool off the pad by nearly 6 feet. SUPER frustrating when everything had to be dismantled. Save the aggravation and have extra hands and bodies!6) With knee and back problems, also being tall/large, the ladder that came with our pool package was definitely NOT sturdy enough or safe for us to use. Because of our prior experiences with unstable above ground pool ladders, we ended up purchasing TWO of the ExtremePower 32 inch Safety Step Above Ground Swimming Ladder w/Handles, one for the interior and one for the exterior. This definitely made me feel very safe entering and exiting the pool. (We'll write a separate review about the steps) We sunk some old 6" x 6" posts near the edge of the pool and placed a 2" x 12" on top to have something to screw the steps into securely.7) If you're over 5' 8" tall, don't buy a pool that is shorter than 52 inches unless all you want to do is float. We would have liked to have gotten a 54" inch depth, but this maximum depth for this style pool was 52". It's just deep enough to do our various water exercises when the water is at the highest possible level. We're hoping that this pool will hold up well, but gave it a 3 for sturdiness, since it's still very new. We read some reviews where people complained about the pump being to small, but so far, all is well with the sand pump that came in our package. We've been swimming every day and are loving it!!! Just make sure you go through all of the steps to make the foundation level and it will be swell!

Excellent purchase!!
LOVE this pool! It was a little difficult to assemble but I didn’t see the tip for using talcum powder in the sleeves/around pole frame until AFTER a lot of cussing and having it finished. Technically you should have your ground level before putting this up, our yard is on a slope and we leveled out this area with a skid loader. It’s not perfect so you may notice the right side sits an inch or two lower—that’s operator error, not the pool.We use a saltwater filter as well. The pool is BIG and there’s enough room for several people without overcrowding.I honestly have zero complaints! The kiddos are in it daily and we’re definitely getting our money’s worth!

Takes longer to assemble then they say….
The included cover is a joke. You will end up buying a better one seperatley. Takes a while to set up. Dont be fooled by the instructions, set up is straight forward but time consuming. Seems durable enough

Index pool
After putting the pool together, as it was filling with water, multiple leaks sprung up as the water level rose to the top (5 total)! The pool patches that come with the pool are not self adhesive and I tried both of the glues that were recommended by Intex in the pool instructions and manual, to no avail. I contacted the seller and was told that the pool could be returned, but it had to be in a box and ( it comes in are two very large boxes) that of course had already gone to the street as trash (it takes several days to completely fill the pool). The seller recommended I go around behind Stores in search of a box of big enough to roll up and stuff this defective liner back in so that it could be returned. Talk about a royal pain in the rear and having to take it down first off then try to find boxes, big enough or trying to tape together a bunch of boxes to make it fit. I ordered self adhesive pool patches which seem to be working so far. It’s been about a week now. I Recommend purchasing self adhesive pool patches along with this purchase of the pool if you dare to do so. That way as your leaks spring up, you can patch them as you go. And keep the boxes for a while so that after spending a couple of hours putting it up, you can spend another couple of hours taking it down and rolling it up and stuffing it back into a box to return.

Great pool
Bought this for my wife installed east on level ground. Looks to be good quality and durable. Did have one leg bend then two and pool side bent. Contacted Intex they sent replacement parts since then no problems great company and great customer service.

Needs more powerful pump
Very happy with the purchase of this pool. The only drawback is it could use a better pump, the one that it comes with does not seem to circulate pool water efficiently. Took 3 of us several hours to assemble. Shipping was very slow (over a month), not as stated when purchased. We did have a broken part but the seller was very quick to correct and sent us a replacement within 2 days. Customer service was great

The pump is junk...
The pool itself was a pain in the ass to set up but it really is worth the time. My kids have enjoyed spending hot days and nights playing in it. As the caretaker of said pool it has been nothing but a pian in my ass, a thorn in my side, the absolute bane of my existence. We have had the pool for exactly a year today. And everyday is a struggle with it. We have torn that pump apart more times then I like to admit. It holds pressure about as long as I can hold my breath under water. The only settings that actually work is recirculate and backwash. If you want to buy this pool, fantastic, do it! Just buy a bigger and better pump at the same time.
