CRUX AVITY-01 Toyota A/V Integration Module

I wanted Entune motion lock override for times when you are moving, kids making noise in the car which makes Voice commands very frustrating. I ordered CRUX AVITY-01 module from Amazon and for 2015 Highlander. During my research on toyotanation, came across a lot of comments and questions about Navigation bypass, and which one is better between CRUX AVITY-01 or Prestigious Society's module. I chose CRUX because, you don't need to install a toggle switch separately, you could actually use you Steering Wheel Controls (SWC) to activate this override. As a bonus it also comes with AV Hdmi input for your smartphone. This was my first time doing something like this, I tried to make it as useful as possible. I'm not a professional installer (a Dr by profession), so apologize in advance if I left out any details, So feel free ask Questions. Be sure your phone supports HDMI output via MHL. All 2015+ Samsung smartphone, such as Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Nexus 6P and newer versions are not MHL supported. Wish I had known this before purchasing and going through a bunch of trial and error trying to get the AVITY-01 to work! I tried it on an earlier Samsung phone and while it worked, the image quality on the nav screen was very poor. Maybe I was still doing something wrong, or maybe I had a defective adapter or module, but since it won't work with my Galaxy S6 anyway, I'm done with it.

A couple things. I have a 2016 Toyota Highlander XLE. This thing works. However! The HDMI is NOT centered on the screen. It is off center an part of my iPhones mirrored screen is NOT visible. They ONLY support the 6.1'' screen. All of these cars have the 8'' entune. SO while I CAN make do.... this is not perfect. So as long as you can get past part of the iPhone screen missing (even though you can still get by) then buy. It. Works.

I had a problem with this product that turned out to be my own fault. The support on this was exceptional. The company sent a completely new product out to replace the "defective" one. Even though they were unable to figure out what was the issue, having the new one convinced me it was't with their product. I eventually figured out what the problem was and sent them back the new one. I highly recommend this company and their product.

It's alright. When activated, it mirrors iPhone and overrides oem nav system as indicated. However, in override mode, the nav in map mode with a destination set will stall. Some kind of glitch. I just turn off the override mode when I need my vehicle's GPS. Could work better.

Works like it should... All features.

Worked perfect on my 2015 Tundra

Had issues at first as the VCIP5 cable I had was apparently defective. CRUX interfacing customer service was pretty good about it and sent me a new one. Finally works.
