Great cutter
Drilled several holes through 1/2 cold roll steel like butter without any oil or coolant. I also used it to drill through 1/4 stainless 304 but it was at very low rpms (200) and very little force. The key with any hole saw is slow and steady, if you force it or your rpms are too high you will destroy the cutter. Keep the teeth flat (90 degrees) to your cutting surface. Angled cuts through flats or sheets will cause uneven heat build up and eventually jam the teeth causing breakage. Needless to say the teeth are still sharp on this cutter even after 25 holes. I purchased a few cutters just in case, but didn't need them. They were well worth the cost and I'll keep them on hand for future projects.

Worked great on 3/16" HRS Sheet Metal
Worked great to put four holes on a panel of 3/16" HRS sheet metal. We bought two of these just in case they wear quickly, but needed just one to put the four holes. Arrived as described, though the plastic cases aren't very good; they were taped closed because the hinges and clasp are broken on both cases. The pilot drill bit, spring, and hex key are just tossed in the cases and move about freely, which isn't great for the bit sharpness, but also not a huge deal. At the end of the day, the tooling works and you get holes in metal. :)

Not as pictured.
Appears to be well made and cuts nicely. My only gripe is the picture shows 4 cutting carbides when actuality there are only 3.

As described. Great bit.
Perfect for adding 22.5mm hole. First, drill the pilot hole with only the drill bit. Then add the drill bit to the hole saw and utilize the pilot hole.

Teeth Broke off instantly.
This is rated for stainless steel. We bought four because we have five holes to drill. Wanted to have spares in case. Well, we didn’t even get two holes drilled and all four had broken teeth. Waste of money. Will never go cheap again. Junk

used for punching holes in my garage door
This did the trick for putting clean 1" holes (22mm) in my garage door and frame, so I could install an emergency release lever. I did it with a hand drill. If not obvious, remove the pilot bit and run that in your drill first to create the pilot hole, then use it as a guide for the hole saw. Don't try and create the pilot hole with the pilot bit installed in the hole saw.

Pilot bit was bent.
Needed it to cut through sheet metal for the cluster on my boat in order to add a couple gauges. It was really poorly packaged. Each piece was loose in the bag upon arrival. I didn't notice the pilot bit being bent and it wobbled all over the place tearing up the surface. Fortunately the gauge faces covered most of it up, touch up paint for the rest. With that being said, the teeth of the hole saw held up. It cut though the metal and i will likely be able to use it again with a different pilot bit. The spring it came with is useless, nothing holding it in place and you'll likely loss it quickly anyway. For the price it's not bad. I figure the bent bit is just unlucky. But inspect before use. Overall i would still recommend.

Run at a very slow speed
I like this hole saw, it cuts a very clean hole. You must run on a very slow speed and keep it cool.
