Overpriced yes but worth it for flawless experience
I've had two Zenscreen portable monitors before stepping up to this ROG one with the tripod. I bought for just using with my PS5 originally for gaming nights or when I am travelling. But, I've actually found myself using it as my go to productivity monitor also. Why? Because the tripod set up is perfect for having as a stacked multiscreen set up with my laptops.I knew what I was getting in screen quality and brightness as had two previously but for any of you new to this concepts as they are low powered (for convenience) the brightness and nits are lower than a dedicated monitor. But the colour accuracy is more than adequate for sessions away from your main studio. The 240Hz actually runs brilliantly with Mac laptops and desktops via Display port set up. Haven't tried with Windowsachines but I assume it's equally compatible and benefits video editors looking for a good portable monitor. For gaming, I've only tested with PS5 and the 120HZ is the max refresh supported in Performance mode. It does take some unintuitive playing around with settings but that's on the PlayStation side not ASUS. It's great and I found myself choosing this set up versus my 4k 60Hz set up, even though a smaller screen. Just don't expect a high end HDR experience. On that note, I would say if solely looking for gaming set ups, the price tag might be a stretch to justify. It is overpriced for what it is and plenty of cheaper alternatives, especially fixed mains powered gaming monitors at half the price. But for a portability perspective, the tripod mount is exceptional and so well designed. The flip case leaves a lot to be desired, especially when you look at how excellent the flip cases are for the Zenscreen branded range from ASUS. If I bought the version without the tripod I might have even returned as so poorly executed. So, do yourself a favour and buy the tripod version for a true on the go, monitor rig. But make sure you have a larger backpack to fit this in.

Monitor does not turn on, replacement monitor also did not turn on avoid
User guide is useless, just has pictures and no words. When you turn the monitor on, screen briefly flashes red and there is no connection. Awful product. Asus has 0 support function and just gives you an ai chatbot.

Bought the one with the stand for the monitor. The stand that comes with is has good build quality. Comes with travelling bag as well. No problem encoutered so far. The monitor is very lightweight and has long built in battery life. Display is spot on. As an ROG fan, this purchase is perfect for my setup.

Fantastic apart from one design flaw
This monitor is fantastic. It has great colour accuracy for a gaming display, great refresh rate, and is very slim. The built-in battery means that you can utilise its full brightness. micro HDMI isn't a great port, but ASUS won't have had any choice with a device this slim. The kickstand would probably be better off being a 'U'-shaped one, though the current ones does allow for portrait orientation with just one 'flap'.The included tripod is heavy and big, which is both good and not so great. As others have said, the vertical pole lock isn't particularly strong. The only real flaw is that the screw mount does not have enough clearance around it from the stand flap. This means that you cannot easy use the built-in stand if you have the tripod mount attached (which is not quick to remove and requires a screwdriver). Even smaller mounts like camera cold shoes are just too big.

Nice display but power hungry
It's a good quality picture and lightweight. It's matt, rather than glassy, one of the reasons I'm upgrading from my WIMAXIT screen.Come with nice case, which open long the top and down one side, so easy to get the screen in an out. Like the kick-stand as well. All good for a 2 screen mobile experience.Downside, it feels a bit plasticity and hence cheaper than than the WIMAXIT, which has a metal body, and edge-to-edge glass front. While it seems flimsier, I'm sure it will survive though. The biggest pain is that although rated at <10W, I'm still having to use the built-in battery or provide additional power. The USB-C port from the laptop is not delivering enough power by itself, again unlike the WIMAXIT.

Light and portable.
An exceptional little monitor - offering gaming performance, USB C and HDMI connectivity, an internal battery whilst weighing in under 1Kg for the monitor itself. It's in a performance class of its own, and sadly also a price bracket of its own. It comes with a fantastic little Republic of Gamers bag uniquely bundled with this product (I had to add a carry strap to get the best use out of that) and a selection of high quality cables and adapters which help make the experience a bit more 'premium'. If you can compromise on the internal battery and refresh rate the Asus Zenscreen is a very similar product and might be better for your needs. The tripod stand is beautifully crafted - but the monitor does tend to loll slightly to one side when attached; its also a bit heavy to routinely carry (I doesn't fit well in the supplied carrying bag, and I think it heavy metal stand would smash the monitor to bits if it did). I think the same stand is supplied for both the 15 and 17 inch versions of this monitor so it's also overkill for the smaller one; lighter tripods are available that can hold the monitor - particularly if you get creative with adapters and brackets. Its main weakness is that it doesn't feel quite as robust as I would like - and I worry about my monitor more than the aluminium bodied laptops that I typically travel with. I had to repair mine after mistakenly packing it into my backpack's laptop sleeve along with a HDMI coupler which put enough pressure to break the LCD panel from the back (through some padding). The in build speaker doesn't really impress, and has been outperformed by the internal speakers of the laptops I've used it with. It's nice to have if you're you intend to use it with a console or similar device though.
