Akebono Brake Pad Set (ACT871) , GREY

Used a set of these for the rear brakes on my 2001 LS430. Installation is a breeze and they are quiet like OEM. Stopping power along with a matching front set is solid, car stops on a dime. Brake dust is moderate, but I'll gladly cleanup brake dust from time to time for hard braking power.

The pads themselves get a 5 star. Just wish, for the price, they came with hardware.

You pay for premium and you get it here. The Master Mechanic was even impressed. The ole Lexus is still quiet and stops like she used to do.Actually surprised I haven't seen any dust and as said, quiet is nice--been at least a couple thousand miles since I had them done too.

Very high quality components, fit perfectly as replacements for the OEM pads. Very good performance.

Still not installed -- probably won't be for a long time since the fronts were just replaced for the first time.

These are my third set of Akebono's.They produce very little brake dust. I went one month without washing my car and can just barely see brake dust.More importantly, as far as I'm concerned, is the initial bite (or lack thereof) when you hit the brake pedal. Other high dollar ceramic pads I've owned have a sudden bite when the pedal is applied-which I don't like. The sudden bite makes everyone's head bob forward every time you touch the brakes. For some, it's reassuring to feel the initial bite. I DONT LIKE STRONG INITIAL BITE. I like my pad feel to be linear-which these are.I like Akebono because the don't dust, don't bite, and they wear well.

Low dust, quiet and long lasting! I love these brake pads, they are very quiet and last a really long time.
