The Hunger Games: Four Book Collection

Sometimes books announce that they are now a major motion picture with a non-sticker type thing printed on the cover. The images here don’t show it but there’s a circle on each book announcing the last hunger games movie

The books came in perfect condition and the font and print is also great. However, do note that the print on the covers fade over time and when I tried cleaning it, a little dye also transferred to the tissue so just keep that in mind. But even then I still like them <3

Not backlit. Doesn’t recognize multi-tap functionality, so you can’t pinch to zoom in or out. Batteries not included, which is fine because I can’t seem to find a spot for the batteries. It must use those flat watch type batteries in the spine somewhere because this thing just keeps on going. I’ve been reading them for over 7 days without replacing the batteries or docking the books back into their box station. Every time I’ve opened it, the page is there, not even fading. Like I’ve said, I’ve had this thing on maximum contrast and brightness settings for over a week, amazing battery life!One criticism when you close it; it won’t remember where you last left off. There is a life hack for that though; if you look at the spine of the book, you can see crease marks, so make a line from the last crease mark to the opposite side and you’ll be close to the last spot you browsed in your history.No built in GPS tracking, so try not to loose it. Also, the IP rating is 00, meaning it’s not water proof at all. IP01 would be resistant to condensation, but this book isn’t even rated for that. Putting it in rice did nothing to save it. I mean, it still functions, but the overall image on any page I bring up is kinda wavy now. Getting it wet pretty much voids the warranty. Also, not fire resistant.On drop testing; it performed well. From both 3 feet and 5 feet it survived being dropped onto concrete. Minor scuffs to the spine at best.For recycling purposed and to be Earth friendly green; this product can be recycled or repurposed into various art projects.Overall, it’s a durable product and good investment.

Estoy encantado. En las fotos del producto no se ve, pero los libros tienen la portada original con relieve que los hace ver muy elegantes. La calidad es excelente. La caja del box set es un poco más delgada que una de cartón firme, pero los libros llegaron sin daños.

Initially I purchased the box set off Indigo’s online store. After a week, my order still was not even shipped so I checked Amazon and got in 2 days 👏Great series! I loved the movies and wanted to re-experience the depth of story through Katniss’s perspective— A real page turner!! Obviously better than the movies. Katniss and Peeta’s relationship is a lot more fleshed out in the books too!But I hesitate to categorize these series as “children’s literature”.There’s some gory stuff in the original Hunger Games trio. I’ve yet to read Snakes/Songbirds but I’m sure it’s no different. I’d say 14 and up.Happy with purchase!!! Get it for yourself ☺️☺️
