I was looking for a range hood that had the most suction power and this one had by far the highest CFM compared to other ones I looked at. I used to have a microwave w/ a fan above my stove that probably sucked up only about 70% of the smoke and that's after I installed a "hood extender" to the bottom to catch the smoke. The microwave just wasn't strong enough and the big burners on my stove are in the front. Probably would have done a better job if the big burners were in the back but still probably wouldn't have captured all the smoke.This hood is so much more powerful and sticks out further and I would say even if I'm cooking on high heat and there's a lot of smoke this thing sucks up about 95% or more (on high level 4). I no longer see smoke up near the ceiling like I used to w/ my microwave fan.I also love the motion sensor. No need to touch the buttons if you have food on your hands, just wave across left or right to increase/decrease the power. And when you're done cooking and want to eat? Just set the timer to turn off automatically. And the lights are great to help you see your food even better. Not something I ever thought I'd need but once you have them you realize what you've been missing. And finally, I think it looks absolutely great above my stove and makes the kitchen look so much better.I had a contractor install it so can't say anything about the install. It's a bit loud on level 4 but to me it's a good tradeoff for the suction power. Levels 1-3 aren't too loud at all IMO.Oh, the fan covers are a bit too big to fit in my dishwashwer, but they're easy to remove and install and I just soak them w/ formula 409 for a bit and rinse them off, easy to clean.Think I covered everything, I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for something that works better than your microwave or lower CFM range hood and want to upgrade the looks of your kitchen.

I had a really pleasant experience with purchasing this product.It is well designed and delivers as advertised.The fact that impressed me the most was the outstanding customer service.Jane, the customer support representative, patiently took care of all my little problems and made me feel that I made the right decision when choosing this product.

Looks great, easy install however unit not functioning properly, Control board malfunction. Manufacturer is send a new one out with no hassle. Lets see if that does the trick. Will update once received and installed. 4 stars because of the malfunction however service was responsive and pleasant.Previous reviews stated that the auto on was a nuisance as it picked up movement even when you didn't want it on. Because of that I mounted mine slightly higher than normal and it work great without issue...except for the control board.

Gesture feature works great, led lights are a nice bright color that you can dim. Overall it looks great, easy to use once installed but it’s loud-other reviews say it’s quiet but I disagree.It’s a bit heavy and unless you have an outlet right there, you’ll have to cut the cord and hardwire it.

Great range hood with super suction power. Been using this for almost a year now. It's a great addition to your kitchen to remove any steam or smell while cooking out of your kitchen. I had minor issues with good where weird noise started coming from range, so I contacted manufacturer customer service for the issue. Jen from customer service responded right away next day and addressed the issue and sent new hood. Great communication and great customer service from Jane and also Hisohu.

The media could not be loaded. Watch the video I put in here. I wanted to test the suction and noise level before removing my 15 year old Broan. As you can see I go from level 1-4 on the Broan and level 1-4 of the HisoHu. The HisoHu is much quieter and the paper-towel test shows good suction. The Broan, even at level 4, sucks at sucking and it is unacceptably loud.After shooting the video I removed the Broan and realized what a pain it must have been to install. In comparison the HisoHu was a breeze to install. Mark the holes, mount the mounting plate to the range hood, install the screws on the wall, hang the HisoHu on the screws (it is semi light, I did it by myself). Tighten the screws. Attach the rubber gasket on top of the Hisohu vent. Attach the duct cover. Attach the duct. Tape the duck attachments with metal tape. Plug into electric outlet. Attach included hood cover and extension cover. Enjoy a smokeless home!The motion sensing works perfect. Wave your hand right to increase levels and left to decrease. I have to be right in front of the unit, which is good. If it got triggered from a bigger distance you would get the poltergeist effect.The light is a white light, so about 4500 Kelvin. I may try to replace it with a warm white of 2500 Kelvin. It is dimmable, which works by holding the light button and letting go at the desired dim level.All in all this is an awesome unit! The first thing I cooked was bacon, which used to make my fire alarm go off. At level 2, I could smell a slight sense of bacon from the oven, but my apartment didn't get filled with smells or smoke! Yay!My only wish is that HisoHu made a model without an led panel, just buttons.

I bought this hood for my new house, it was the second time I bought it, I have this one in my current house, but sadly it didn't work for me, I tried to get a refund for such bad and unpleasant customer service from Amazon and they didn't want to help me!! I tried to get the seller to solve my problem and they never did either, in the end I have a hood installed and it's useless, lately Amazon just washes their hands saying that it's the sellers who have to solve the problem, but they don't do anything for the irresponsible sellers who just keep our money!!! I paid for the hood, the installation and now I have to buy a new hood and pay again for them to remove the one that doesn't work and the new one!! I am really very disappointed
