Bought to trap hair before it goes down drain. As one who takes constant soaking hot baths to relieve restless leg, hair is a problem. This works very well to keep out of drain. Just place over the drain opening.

I had a tank emergency after doing a water change and fish started dying. Grabbed this net and scooped up all the remaining fish * about 14 Rainbow fish in one scoop and got them in a different aquarium before any more died. Don't know what happened only the Rainbow fish were affected - my huge DoJo loaches were fine - perhaps it was their size and location (on the bottom) of the tank. Maybe we forgot to condition the water or adjust the PH first. We will never know,
