Q: Does the hat wear comfortable?

Actually very comfy and I'm very fussy. I bought if to stop sunburn and is cool when wearing on hot days. I went for a light colour to reflect sun. Comfy sun hat :)

Q: Given that it has a clear mesh section, how can this offer upf50 protection only the sun will easily go through the mesh? is there an inner lining?

There is no inner lining to cover mesh.

Q: What's the wide of the hat brim ?

The brim is 3inches/7cm wide, end to end it is 12.5inches/33 cm,it is wide. Hope this helps..keep safe..

Q: How stiff is the brim? Does it flap about in even just a light wind?

Yes it does flap about but still a decent quality hat nice and cool in heat,just done 3 weeks in Australia and was fine
