Refurbished monitor is an excellent value
I have been using this refurbished monitor daily for four months and have found that is has been just as good as new. The monitor arrived with all of the parts necessary to run EXCEPT for a dual-link DVI cable, as others have specified. Luckily, I had a spare one around, and was able to get this running with my GTX 1080 at 1080p 144hz with no problem. Attaching the base was easy and I was up and running in minutes. My panel arrived with no damage, no dead pixels, and about as accurate color as one can get with a TN panel. I calibrated it with a Spyder5 to confirm that there weren't any tint issues. As I noted, the monitor runs great at a 144hz refresh rate, and you notice the improvement in motion immediately, even in just moving the mouse cursor around on the desktop. FPS games are immediately more responsive, and I've found it hard to go back to lower refresh rates. For comparison, I've also run my PC with a 4k 60hz FreeSync panel, and I gladly give up the improvements in resolution for the higher refresh rate.Note that this monitor does not support FreeSync. Now that Nvidia products can use FreeSync over DisplayPort, it might be worth it to hunt down a high refresh rate monitor with FreeSync support. I have not had any issues with screen tearing or anything, so it's not really a consideration for me right now. Also, although the monitor supports Nvidia 3d, I have not had the opportunity to test it.Overall, my experience with Acer's refurbished product has been very positive, and if I need another monitor, I would not hesitate to purchase a refurbished product again.

Great at 144Hz gaming. Maybe not worth it for Word and Excel.
Blazing fast and well worth it if you're a gamer. Make sure you have a card to drive 144Hz and the right cable, a DVI dual link. It does not come with 144Hz compatible cables so plan on getting one for gaming. Cable Matters Gold Plated DVI-D Dual Link Cable with Ferrites 6 Feet (Available 6FT - 50 FT in Length) .

Yellow tint on whites. Spend the $40-50 more to buy the new one
I already own one and I figured it would be a great second monitor. I know this is a used product but the screen I received was pretty beat up for a monitor. Scratches and chips on the bezel of the screen. It also had a noticeable yellow tint on the whites. I didn’t notice it till I saw white on both my screens. Once you see the yellow tint, you can’t unsee it.

Just like 3 stars means
Updated to 4 stars since it's been used daily for over 2 years now and 0 issues, considering buying a second one to replace an old HP monitor that has more glare than I care to continue dealing withJust like 3 stars means, it's okay. Kicked it down a couple stars because of the lack of the dual link cable other reviewers are mentioning (it SHOULD be in the advertising but whatever, it's a $7 cable for a deeply discounted monitor). Picture is pretty great but the other reason for only 3 stars is there is a scratch about 1.5 inches in the upper left of the screen. It took me a couple days of use to finally notice it but now I know it's there haha. Doesn't really impact anything I'm doing though, all in all pretty decent for a refurb

Like-New great deal on a great monitor ($145.99)
This Review is for the Acer GN246HL (REFURBISHED) I saw the mixed reviews on this monitor and wasnt sure if i should take the risk with some reviews saying it wasn't working or had some sort of dead pixels. I can say the one I got was flawless and I couldnt tell the that it was even used apart from the packaging, It came with a 6-foot DVI-D cable not everyone is getting one apparently so be aware you might not get one if you do order. If your on a tight budget but want a 144hz monitor for gaming this is the your best bet!

Budget Gaming Monitor that Packs a Punch!
Great budget gaming monitor! I love having the potential for a maximum of 144hz display!I had ZERO stuck or dead pixels and I knew that by buying a certified refurbished monitor I WOULD NOT be getting something brand new and I ran the risk of potentially having that issue. DO NOT buy if you easily get pissed at small imperfections!!!This is a great entry level monitor that allows for great displays of some of the latest games! I have throughly enjoyed the quality of this monitor and I plan to buy a second! The only downside to the monitor is the lack of a DisplayPort, but the DVI-D port allows for 144hz as well. The monitor's mount is a little flimsy, but if you don't move it around much you should be fine. I wish the monitor had more of a matte finish as opposed to a glossy one.

Needs the dual link dvi to be 144hz
Monitor is great, but the original product does normally come with the dual. Seems kinda odd that you ship a product that requires the dual with a single, that's the reason for the star loss, cause now I gotta find one nearby because I dont want to wait for shipping again.Overall looks nice, works well, maybe a small stuff on the paint but that doesn't affect the screen so good stuff there.
