SONGMICS Exercise Bike, Indoor Cycling Device, Fitness and Exercise at Home, Gym, Foldable, with Backrest, 8 Resistors, Sensor, Load 100 kg, Black and Grey SEB012B01

My wife and I are both in our mid sventies and we both need to start exercising more, than just going out for walks. Joining a fitness centre can be quite expensive, so we decided to look on Amazon for some sort of exercise bike that would suit our purpose, without costing an arm and a leg, so we can exercise at home. Having looked at lots of different types and models (some which were very expensive) we chose to buy this affordable SONGMICS Exercise Bike, with its added back rest support and comfier looking seat than some seats fitted to other similar bikes. There were two choices of colour, grey/black or grey/orange, so we opted for the Grey/Black which doesn't look too in your face than orange. It arrive two days after ordering which we were well pleased with and everything went smoothly with the assembly, with adequate instructions.As this is the first day of using our exercise bike, we are both very pleased with how smooth it is to use and so very quiet as well. We are starting off as beginners with the lowest setting until we get used to it and will gradually work up to higher settings one we are feeling the benefit of the exercises. Would we recommend this product? Certainly YES. It's reasonably priced, Strongly built, Easy to put together. It easily folds away when not in use and can be easily moved with its built in castors, should you need to move it from room to room. Well pleased and hopefully in a few more months, feeling much more fitter than we have been for a long time.

Only gave 4 stars as it took almost 3 weeks to arrive when on the order screen it said next business working day. I had to chase it then all of a sudden it got dispatched. The "digital" screen is flimsy, its a bit like a cheap calculator if you know what i mean but the bike itself is good. Its sturdy, the seat is comfortable. Its very easy to assemble. Took me about 15 minutes once I realised all the screws were already in the right places and not in a separate bag. Good purchase.

This is based on only having it for a day so far, but we're very impressed. Assembly took us about 30 minutes but was quite straightforward & tools are provided for the job. The fact it is foldable is a big plus when it comes to storing it away & it is easy to move as it has wheels on the front support ( a bike with wheels, whatever next? :-) ). As for cycling, it was very smooth, nice & easy to use & completely silent. I felt comfortable both using the handlebars on the front & sitting back on the rear cushion back support & holding the side handles. The LCD worked well, if you want to know your pulse rate you have to use the front handlebars to get a reading. We bought a mat to put the bike on as we have wooden flooring. We set it up in front of our 65" TV & I found some cycling videos on YouTube to watch as I pedalled away & it was as if I was taking the actual journey, so that helps to make it more fun, would definitely recommend trying it. One minor niggle, we would like to add a gel or foam seat cover but after spending a great deal of time this afternoon looking online for one, we can't find any that are the correct size, so if anyone can point us in the right direction we would be very grateful. Other than that it is top marks all around.The reviewer below me - Kemett - wasn't sure how to keep the bike folded. Prompt delivery, assembled in 15 minutes. Used daily through all levels, comfortable and almost silent. This is the first home exercise bike I have bought, at this price it would be unfair to compare with gym bikes, but compared red with folding models my friends have, costing up to 3 times as much it compared well. Easy to fold away and takes up very little space. Highly recommended.1/10/2022 - Started getting a knocking sound, as others have mentioned. Simle fix, the knocking is nothing mechanical, but from the hinged joins in the frame, soon sorted with a couple of strips of self adhesive rubber strips so still 5 stars for an excellent value product, and I am shedding the weight,very happy 😁

I have a small one bed flat..this is perfect. It’s literally almost silent, perfect.Sturdy, storable and easy to assemble (I’m a 68yr old with osteoporosis) yes, although a little heavy, I use it and fold and out it away each day.. worth the money, and I’d say as good as any I’ve used in the gym

Overall, a well made, sturdy machine that surpassed my expectations given the low cost. Well packaged and reasonable assembly instructions. Everything worked smoothly except......my wife, 5ft 4" could not get on it which, given it was her birthday present was a bit of a bummer. The problem is the crossover point of the main frame is simply too high for her to get her leg over....no sniggers please.......I made a small mounting block but that didn't help. Eventually solved the problem by removing the backrest and rear handlebars which enabled her to mount it as if it was a horse...leaning forwards and cocking your leg to one side.The other slight niggle is the lcd display which cycles (!) on and cannot be locked to any one readout. So you can't display just speed or just distance etc.But I have to say, despite the above, it impressed me with the build quality , the smoothness of operation and not least, the price. Highly recommended, especially if you are a bit tight for room.
