Good alternative to the OEM.
Installed without issue and no sound quality loss. Yes it's not the OEM cable but it is a quality engineered piece that mimics it with an added rca switch out benefit.I've seen plenty of negative reviews about this piece, and while I won't say someone didn't get a faulty piece at one point 98% of these reviews are customer error which led to the problems.First off, you don't NEED to purchase this cable. Head to any Mitsubishi dealership and you can pick up the OEM cable for 25 bucks plus tax. I purchased this because I received the E 03 error on my Rockford system so instead of paying hundreds to replace or repair it this cable bypassed my need for the cd player. Second I purchased this because my local dealer was out of stock and it was going to take 5 days to get more in. If you don't mind waiting or they are available just pick up the OEM version (just ask for part number MZ360135EX).Now about the negative reviews:"Didn't come with any instructions" - it says right at the beginning instructions are available upon email request. Reading error on these customers part."It doesn't work" - there are numerous reasons that aren't the vendors fault so let's list them. 1, they didn't disconnect the negative terminal to the battery before this thus damaging the electrical. 2, they don't have an auxiliary option on their player (easy to miss and figure out just hold down cd for 5 seconds). 3, they didn't install properly. This has many avenues for failure. They may not have gotten the wires into the correct nodes, they may not have pushed the prongs completely in, or while installing they loosened an existing wire in its node. Again, all customer error.End of story this product works well and is a good alternative to the OEM product.

Works like magic!!
I have the 2006 Eclipse and man, I was tired of burning CD after CD and then the mp3 CDs would skip like no other. Enter this little bad boy. Install took about 10 minutes and the sound is pretty dang good. I was actually surprised by how good it sounded after hearing otherwise. I was slightly wary about the sound as I love loud music and so I was pleasantly surprised by how great it sounds.Cord is decent, not fabulous but it's definitely a little on the el cheapo side. No big tho as the sound is all that matters. And the cord is super long which is awesome in case you want to route it through your console or just wrap it and have it hang out on the dash, which is what I did. I have a windshield mount and iPhone and this connect quite nicely and looks almost like it's part of the car.Excellent buy all around.

Aux Cable for external music source.
Thanks to YouTube, installing this aux cable was not too painful.Works perfectly. The cable itself feels sturdy and not flimsy like the cheaper made type.I run it out from just behind the dashboard and is pretty discreet as far as that goes. Folds and stores just fine inside glove compartment.Allows me to use my phone's music libraries finally without being limited to just 6 CD's.With my phone mounted to windshield via a long arm phone clip that extends far enough for easy access, music is now almost limitless!

Good, but beware
I bought this awhile back for my 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor. Turns out that it wasn't compatible the way they described. So I bit the bullet and accepted my loss. A few days later I'm looking for a mp3 aux converter for my Endeavor on Google images and found a diagram for this cable as well as another product. I went out, tore my dash apart, then to my surprise it worked without a hitch! But you would have to buy a 13 pin socket adapter and slice into the 3 cables needed, or just solder it in. I bought a Grom Audio mp3 converter, it does the exact thing but without all the mess. Long story short, this can work fine if you know what you're doing, I just found out too late

good for '06 eclipse
I used this to add aux to my '06 eclipse and it's been good. Installation is not fun in this car, but the cord does its job. It is, however, fairly easy to move or dislodge the connecting cables from each other, and I'm having to constantly push them back together to get a good connection again.

So far so good!
I have a 08 Lancer that I had previously installed an Ipod cable with the charger in. About 6 months ago it started having problems so I decided it was time to upgrade my cord. I opted for a cord that used the headphone jack vs the one I had since they no longer make Ipods with that particular charging port and this way I wasn't limited on what MP3 player I could use. If you have never installed an aftermarket MP3 cable in your vehicle, I would highly recommend watching a video on YouTube first. This cable was incredibly easy to install, it takes more time disassemble the dash (depending of the vehicle, of course) than the actual install took. Unlike my previous cable, this one allows for the volume to be controlled not only through the stereo itself, but also through the MP3 player. This cable sounds just as good as the other one I had which was an OEM cable, and 1/4 of the price I paid for my other. I did route this wire differently than I did with my other, since it is more flimsy and probably won't be able to handle the torture I put my other one through. If you are wanting to listen to your Mp3 player through your stereo, this is a very easy install (at least for a Lancer), and the sound quality is great, I would recommend saving yourself some money and ordering this over an OEM cable. This definitely isn't a case of "you get what you pay for".I purchased this product at full price and am in no way obligated to write this review.

No low end
No stars for this one I had to give it one to post the review). It was easy to hook up (several videos on YouTube, no instructions with the part). What no one has said is that you will have no low end with this. It has right & left but nothing for the subs so there's nothing coming out of the speakers in the doors or the big sub in the back (2008 Eclipse with the Rockford/Fosgate). I took the car to a professional installer who confirmed this.
