Aputure Amaran AL-H198 High CRI 95+ LED Video Light for Canon Nikon Olympus Camcorder

I purchase two of these and the cool thing about them is that you can attach as many as you want, come on, for this price you won't find better quality than this.I am a professional videographer and can tell how important is the high CRI that offers Aputure and it is a big deal, when you have to color balance your shots with artificial light you'll notice the difference between different lights with different CRIs.An advice: always try to soften the light with something useful like white sheets or with professional softbox, be creative! it's very rewarding.

I bought this to test whether a daylight-only LED panel would work for me (instead of "bi-color"). I decided that daylight (5600K or so) is what I want, so now I'm shopping for more robust and larger LED panels. This Aputure light is very bright & has good color, but the housing is the type of plastic that appears brittle and the mounts don't inspire confidence. (There's a quarter-20 metal female thread set in a plastic male shoe mount, and plastic female shoe mounts on the other 3 sides.) The diffuser and the tungsten "gel" mount by means of 4 plastic nubs that seem like they could break. The light will accommodate one Sony L-series battery, which is good. I will use this light as I can but don't want to depend on it. Because it's small, I can see using it as a task light on occasion.

All I can say is very bright! I have no issues with this product. I love how you can attach up to four of these together.

This is a lot of good light from a small package. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it does not come with a battery so you either have to have a spare camera battery or buy it separately. The AA batteries option is nice in a pinch but not for a longer shoot.
