Esschert Design FY18 Raven Crow Scare Decoy

If you need a fake crow with feet, this is a good option but way overpriced. I bought this unit as a decoy for crow hunting before purchasing a dozen crow decoys from Cabelos for $62 on sale (normally around $90). They were the same size but had a spike to put in the ground instead of feet and a loop on the back to hang the decoy from a tree limb. The detail was almost identical as the Esschert. If you're looking for just one crow the Esschert would be a good option but crows seldom hang out by themselves. It would be more effective to buy a dozen and have some on the ground and some as sentries, hanging in tree limbs. A dozen of the Esscherts would cost you over $400. When I set out 6 or more decoys, any nearby hawks start circling and screeching. If you're trying to scare pigeons away, the combination of crows and a hawk would be very effective. If you're really on a budget, buy the Primos Old Crow caller and have fun scaring away pigeons, attracting hawks and more crows and annoying your neighbors!

It does not work at all

The crow was too shiny, looked like plastic. So I got a can of flat black paint and solved the problem. It looks just like a real crow now.
