Very Happy With these Bags
Exactly as described. Came quick, very thin so should be pretty much the same as vacuum bag without all the single use plastic. I bought the extra large and large bags. Extra large is huge and in use in the pictures, large is maybe 1/2 gal, not sure but good size. They don't pass the stretch test, but I am not convinced that is relevant. They are currently sous viding a nice stew for me at 185 deg for 24 hours, easy to clean and no worries of plastics from zip lock or vac bags getting into food. Magnets are super strong and hold tight through my plastic container and both layers of the extra large bag.

These bags work most excellent for a sous vide cooking
The durability of these bags is supreme! Worth every penny! Perfect for Sous vide cooking. The very nature of their material seal shut when put in a bath.Well, most functional items you can add to your sous vide cooker.

Great product for Sous Vide use
Really like these bags for sous vide use. They are pliable and easy to use for submersion method to remove air. They are easy to wash with soap and water, but retain the odor of what was cooked and need to be soaked in vinegar to remove most of it. The odor doesn't seem to affect the taste of whatever is cooked after. With all the medical news about adverse effects of nanoplastics, it seems that this is a good viable alternative to using plastic bags and adverse health effects from nanoplastics.

Working great for Kombucha
Saw an article and scientific study on brewing Kombucha in silicone bags and decided to try it out using these bags. So far the process has only been going for 2 days but it is working great. The brew is healthy, and the silicone is allowing a pellicle to start forming around the entire bag from the bottom up, instead of just on the surface like glass brewers.I ordered the Extra Large set which includes two bags. They easily hold 1 gallon of tea as well as 2 cups of starter and a thick pellicle.

Leaked.
The media could not be loaded. Leaked at the seem. Does not seal. Tried to cook half of an eye of round, one of my favorite cuts to sous vide for 18 hours, then slice for roast beef sandwiches. But the bag leaked (see video). Also i heard that you can check silicon to see if it is food safe by seeing if it does not turn white when stretched. This turned white which is supposed to indicate it is not food-sage sicon.

No more plastic!
First, be sure to read the card that comes with the product. It says that the bags should be boiled in water (I think for 30 minutes, but can’t really remember now) before first use. When I got these sous vide bags, they did have a pretty strong smell. After boiling them, the smell was mild. After one use, it’s completely gone. Second, the bags do not seal at the top. You lower the bag into the hot water using the water displacement method. Once the meat, fish, veggies, etc. is submerged in the water (very important), you just lay the open end over the side of the pot. If the bag floats, you might need to re-submerge it to get more air out. You can use a large clip to clip the bag to the side of pot to hold it in position. You can also put something heavy right in the bag with your food, or on top of it to keep it submerged. Third, you put the bag in the water after it reaches the correct temperature. It probably doesn’t matter so much with meats that cook for a long time, but with fish or veggies, it might make a difference. Fourth, cleaning the bags isn’t too hard. Hot soapy water, rinsed and dried on a big bottle of soda worked for me. Fifth, if you’re cooking something for a very long time, be sure to cover the pot to reduce evaporation. You can buy a bag of ping pong balls, or I use a piece of tinfoil that I use over and over. I really love these bags!

These are the best invention since the immersion circulator itself!
So far I've used these for steaks, fish, scallops, brisket, a leg of lamb, and they have held up beautifully. They are so easy to use compared to the typical vacuum sealer/plastic bag setup, even easier than just using Ziploc with the water displacement method. I wish I had invested in these years ago, they're total lifesaver. And as a bonus, they're zero waste! I do wish the packaging had also been zero waste, but I'll take what I can get. If you're hemming and hawing, unsure whether these work or are worth it, take my word for it- these are amazing and totally worth their reasonable price, especially since you never have to use plastic again!
