Multi use...perfect sink caddy!
I was looking for an under the sink caddy to tidy up the kitchen countertop area. I have PVC cabinets, so the caddy had to adhere to very smooth surfaces as I did not want to mar or warp the cabinet doors. I came across this shower caddy and noted that it was made to adhere in moist areas with tile (smooth surfaces) so I gave it a shot. Wow, this worked out fantastically. Enough space for dish and hand soap, several sponges, washcloth, and as a bonus, the sink drain plug which usually has no proper home! It is made to hold 6 lbs of items, so it is very sturdy for this purpose. It is solidly holding to the PVC and looks great. I may buy more as I see a few more possibly uses in the mud room and closets. This product works and is a great find. Just use your imagination for those tough to store small objects...this item will work wonders!

Had to get new strips from 3M, but worked perfectly after that.
I followed the instructions carefully, but one side did not stick properly- staying on the shower wall for all of about 20 minutes. I had noticed that the protective tape came off quite easily and looked as if it had been peeled off and reattached. I called 3M as another purchaser had indicated that contacting Amazon was not helpful as a return was the only option and I wanted to keep the shelf. 3M sent me replacement strips. I went through the whole process again, just as before and the shampoo basket/shelf has been firmly adhered to the wall for a few weeks now. It looks good. It's very useful. And 3M is a great company.

Holds Well
I selected this over all the other shower shelf options for two reasons.Firstly because it is attached with 3M Command adhesive strips. I’ve owned a shower mirror held up with the Command strips for over two years and not had any problems. Some of the other shower shelves are held up with suction cups and I’ve had bad luck with those in the past. (My old shower mirror was held up with suction cups and every few months it would detach from the wall and leap to the floor.) Others are attached with adhesives and I wasn’t sure what residue they would leave when removed; the Command strips remove cleanly.Secondly the shelf is made of stainless steel and not prone to rust; and the wire design means water won’t pool on the shelf. I do wish more thought had gone into its design though. The open front allows shorter things to fall out and the spacing of the wires on the bottom is wide enough to allow a razor to fall through if it’s not placed at an angle across a couple of wires. When hanging the shelf the instructions say not to use household cleaners to clean the surface. Ignore that. First clean the surface VERY WELL with whatever it takes to remove all dirt, soap scum, and hard water scale, then RINSE WELL to completely remove all residue, dry, and finally clean with the included alcohol pad. Once the alcohol has completely evaporated install the shelf. You should also clean the back of the mounting base with alcohol and allow it to evaporate prior to applying the Command strips. Then follow the rest of the manufacturer’s instructionsOctober 2020 update:Still firmly attached to my fiberglass shower enclosure.

Good Value
Held up nicely for the time I had it, about a year or so. Held about three medium-sized bottles and a few small items. Had to take it down because I was moving between dorms for school and didn’t need it in the new dorm.

Use alcohol to wipe down area where you are attaching this item
This works well, for the most part. I would have liked to see more enclosure of the basket though. Small items tend to roll out of it under the horizontal wires in front. I have lined mine with some perforated plastic to let water out but hold in small items.

Best product redesign ever.
This is the second command shower product I've purchased. I had purchased their corner mount shower caddy and originally intended to purchase that. I discovered that they are no longer manufacturered. Then I found these.I LOVE THEM.Yes the wire spacing could be better and I wish there were an actual razor hook but those are minor things.I applied the strips and let them cure for the recommended 24 hrs and have had zero problem with falling. It is VERY important to follow the "get wet" step though when applying to a shower wall. (After you've applied the hooks, remove the basket from them, press the hooks well. Then make sure at some point you shower and let it dry. Then cure for 24 hours. THEN and only then you reattach the basket). They also work well on non damp surfaces as well. I got an extra to help free up space under my sink. So glad I did. Just make sure you know where you want it attached so that once applied you don't have to remove the whole thing.

Fell two hours after installation. And that was with two small items in the basket.
We recently had a complete master bathroom makeover and quickly found that we wanted more storage than the built-in niches provided. I didn't want to drill into the brand new tile and have had success with other Command Strip products in the past. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I installed the item according to the instructions. This included wiping the area clean with the provided alcohol wipe, installing the command strips to BRAND NEW TILE and making sure not to go over grout lines, and then waiting 24 hours before attaching the basket to the command strips. So after doing all that was required for installation, I was pleased with how the basket looked and decided to put a few VERY LIGHT items into it. Less than two hours later I heard a crash from the bathroom and new exactly what it was. The basket and items were strewn throughout the shower floor. Thankfully, there was no noticeable damage to our new tile. Needless to say, this item will be going back. And I might second guess any Command Strip purchases in the future...
