Inspirational for non-professionals
There was a time where interior design was for those in the business or were able to afford to buy iconic furnishing or hire someone. This book opened my eyes beyond those barriers - you to can decorate your home, particularly small apts in NYC. You don't have spend alot of money, it does not have be matchy-matchy or just one note style. This book educated me on how to bring what you have together, how to develop your own style, how to recognize iconic pieces, how to work a room. This book is for novices. Since buying this book, I found similar genre, which I have out-grown, but still come back to this book for reference, and it is a great source of ideas. The binding and photo quality are very, very good.

Not just for apartment dwellers...
I honestly could not love this book more. My husband and I just bought our first home, and spent hours checking out the design/decorating section at the bookstore. I was apprehensive about getting this book because our house is enormous (we need ideas on what to do with all the space), and we aren't apartment renters any longer. Low and behold, we kept going back to this one; "Remember the kitchen/bathroom/kid's room in that AT book?"This book is not for people who need a bucketload of cash to spend, and it is not for the super vanilla, traditional folks. The ideas are fresh and new, and aren't so over the top. If you are a little quirky and open to ingenious uses of space, you might just love this book as much as I do. I reccomend this book if you love the Domino Book of Design.

Apartment Therapy's Big Book of Small, Cool Spaces
Great as a picture book. Not so helpful from a resource guide (which is what I was hoping for) on obtaining items that you might find useful for your own small space. Also would have been better if they explained if spaces came the way it shown in the pictures, or there was some renovations involved. If it was the latter, what was the before and after, and the associated costs. As someone who rents and not owns, it useful to know what can be done in apartment spaces vs. condos. It does however, make for a good coffee table book.

Great book full of Ideas
The great thing about this book is that it really is a good place to start when thinking of all the things you can do to redecorate your place. When ordering this book, I looked forward to its release seeing how I read Apartment Therapy daily on my blog reader. When I received the book, I was glad that it had all sorts of great ideas put into one place. If you're thinking about doing some decorating or reorganizing of your space, this is a great book. It has a lot of variety.Unfortunately, the bad news is that it isn't all that specific. It could use a great more detail with its ideas and could show some more steps for each idea.

Great ideas for small spaces.
The book is a bit dated as far as the technology pictured in some of the photos, but the decor is still fun to browse through. Lots of a great ideas for small spaces. I haven’t had a chance to actually read the text yet because I just got it a couple of days ago, but I have browsed through the decor pics and I’m happy with my purchase. Fast shipping, and the book is in great condition! Thank you!

live in a small space, get this books for a beautiful organized life
found this author on his web site Apartment Therapy and tune in every day. Worried book would be a rerun of a great website. Not so, new stuff, great photos and worth the very reasonable price.

Nothing Inspiring
Unless you are the sort of person who is thoroughly incapable of thinking outside the box and have never lived in a small space before, this book is useless. There's nothing groundbreaking, terribly creative, or especially inspiring in these pages. Don't waste your money. Seriously. You'll find far more interesting stuff on the Apartment Therapy site and around the web... and probably in your neighbors' apartments.

As a longtime follower of the Apartment Therapy website, I knew I just had to have this book! It definitely lives up to its name, and if you love seeing how other people decorate their small spaces, then this is the book for you!
