So use a stainless steel mug or ceramic, instead of the metallic one it comes with for good flavor. I have NOT used mug it came with so I can’t speak for that.

I’ve had a number of single brew drip brewers over the years. The worst was one that alternately also did K cups. My favorite was a little $8 one from Walmart, but it burned out. I would have bought six of them, but they stopped making it. The recent dedicated drip Brewer began to have “electrical smells?” I mean I would turn the corner and smell that smell and they would be. “!!!!” in my head so I decided it’s time to stop using it and buy a new one. This one was an offer and it is the highest quality of all of them I have ever had.. it is also a little bit of an improvement over each and evert one. It’s large enough you do not need a separate reservoir door. I’m doing fine with that. It’s tall enough to accept my favorite mug without being so aggressive that there’s splashing going on. The speed of brew and temperature is very good. The flavor is being properly liberated from the grounds. The permanent filter rinses beautifully, and does not stain. The construction is high-quality and stable. I’m really happy with this one. The stainless steel Tumblr that comes with it is high-quality, I have used it and it works well. I now use it for a quick water Tumblr and continue to use with my favorite Aladdin mugs that are in pristine condition that I bought in 1980 something. I’m rambling now. I do recommend this product.

When I made multiple cups of coffee I thought I broke it because the start button was not doing anything. You definitely get what you paid for which is not necessarily a bad thing. Once this breaks down (which it eventually will) ill invest in a better compact coffee maker with more buttons indicating how much coffee I want.

I've had this for about a month now and am liking it very much. I haven't taken the water temperature as it comes out of the spray head, but the coffee is good and hot. I love that it takes up very little space on the counter. I grind the beans and use filtered water, and I make the largest amount it will take. My Contigo thermos fits on the base, and in that, the coffee stays hot for several hours. I use a paper filter instead of the included filter as I don't like any sediment. A size 2 paper filter folded so the sides are a little bit straighter fits very well.
