Perfect for what I needed! Made in the USA!
My 1st priority was to find a scooter made in the USA! This was made in Augusta, Ga! Second, I wanted something sturdy! I was going on a cruise and needed something that could be easily stowed, but could handle the many different surfaces I was going to be dealing with; sand, rocks, inclines, declines etc. the pneumatic breaks on this one worked sooo good!! The basket held my stuff which was super and I added a cup holder! I did order an extra pad and was very glad I did; just made it more comfortable!I put it together my self, it just took a little while. I gave you 4 stars because it was delivered on Friday 4/17 about 2:30ish. I put it together and called the 800 number @ 4:45 with a problem I was having with the emergency brake. I was told I would get a return call back within 20 minutes. However, that did not happen until the following Monday! 🤦‍♀️ Thank goodness I McGyvered it myself until then! Turn radius is very small. You just have to assimilate! 🤷‍♀️

Gave me my independence back.
Update: Feb 2019.I'm finally walking and my Tib/Fib is healed. This scooter was hard to leave home as I've grown attached to it as it helped me so much these past 6 months. Minor maintenance was filling the tires and tightening any screws that came loose. Training wheel stayed in the entire time for stability.Only concern is that it should replace the training wheel for another air tires for the petite model.Otherwise worth every penny, it helped so much for when I couldn't walk. Super fun to go really.fast and goes on any terrian.(snow is a lil tricky so go slow)Thanks KneeRover for helping in my recovery.Update: December 2018I am using this thing almost daily since the day I bought it. I don't have a car so I need to catch a bus to get wherever I'm going, because my tibia fracture is still healing I can't walk fast or far distances. This has been my ride and my seat wherever I need to go. I probably go faster than supposed to, but it makes it more fun going place to placeUnfortunately if you are buying this and you are obviously petite, you gonna be called cute alot. Fair warning and kinda a con lol.Completely got my money's worth. Will use it until I'm fully healed and allowed to sports.Thank you KneeRover.____Changed my life.Cwurrently suffering a closed, delayed healing distal tibia fracture and healing with no hardware.I've been off my leg for 5 months and I bought this when I had to live on my own and taken public transportation to get to and from therapy and doctor's appointments.Crutches are nothing compared to this. I can have the freedom to go almsot anywhere provided there is an elevator.I specifically got this model for the height and large air filled tires. I'm.a petite 5'2 woman and I knew before hand I need something to handle the consistent uneven terrian in my everyday life, horrible sidewalks, grass, gravel, water, cracks in the sidewalk, etc. The scooter does an amazing job in doing that. I added the training wheel.for stability and don't plan on removing it.You have to be at lease physically fit to use this and have no problems with your hip, back and your good leg, as this will have those areas stressed.Because of my injury, my good leg has become pretty strong and able.to push myself along faster than I should, and I do get sore and tired in my ankle, hip and lower back.I would advice go slow and don't go over the speed of a brisk walk.Make sure to buy or have a pump to fill the tires.Getting padding for your knee would help because it does make your upper tibia and knee ache,.not good for those who have knee and upper tibia injuries.Set up was pretty good ans easy to assemble, took a bit of adjusting and test runs to set it to my exact positions.Turning radius is not great but I just lift the scooter itself and adjust. Breaks don't really.work well but I've just been using my good.leg to do everything. It's kinda heavy as I needed to carry it in and down the stairs to enter and exist my house so I'm sure I've developed some upper body strength from.lifting this around on a broken leg.Without this device I wouldn't be able to regain even a little independence. I probably will be using this for another 2-4 months until I slowly can weight bear without any aids.Until.then, this is my go to mobility aid. Thank you.

Nice scooter excepting brake locking feature not being adjusable
This is a great knee scooter with one flaw. Nice & stable with the 4th helper wheel that comes with scooter that is optional to install. It is needed for us less stable Seniors. We have a 2 story house so bought two of these scooters. No fun for able spouse to lug scooter up and down stairs so patient can use on each floor. It is enough work for patient to scoot up and down stairs on their rump.Only negative thing we found on scooter was adjusting the brake handle cable to keep the scooter in the “locked” brake position for parking it. When the brake cable is adjusted to stop scooter when moving, it wouldn’t hold the rear wheel from moving when in the “locked” brake position which is locked by squeezing on the brake handle and pushing in on a spring-loaded locking pin to hold brake caliper pads in locked position on wheel. When I adjusted the break cable to hold the brake locked on the wheel, you could not pushed the “lock” brake pin in on the handle to lock the brake. Hole for pin in handle did not lined up in order to be pushed in holding break caliper pads against wheel hard enough to lock the brake. To get on the scooter, the patient has to lean forward on handle bar hand grips and has to immediately squeeze the brake handle to hold the scooter stationary because leaning forward on handle bars and raising the disabled leg knee up on scooter knee pad makes the scooter want to roll out from under rider. Good wheel bearings in wheels makes scooter very easy to ride it. It would have been nice that the brake locking feature of scooter would adjust and worked. Patient rider has to be aware of brake lock not keeping the scooter from moving out from under them when getting on scooter to ride it. Brake was not properly adjusted when we received it from factory because I found I could not properly adjust.Scooter, otherwise, is well made, strong, and compact and came well protected in its shipping box. Took about 30 minutes to unpack and assembling scooter was easy except for brake locking feature. The fixed front axle and turning m front wheels is a much more stable scooter than the less expensive scooters where the entire axle is moved for turning. Those scooters can rotate their front axles 90 degrees turning the scooter from a 4 wheel stable scooter to an unstable 3-wheeled “Trike”.

My "Red Rover" Is Much Easier than Crutches for Immobilizing my Foot!!
I broke my foot and needed to immobilize it. I'm only 5' tall and this scooter for juveniles and adults is built for my smaller frame.I also selected this scooter because it looked sturdier than others. It has larger tires and a solid frame. I preferred the 3-wheel design to the four wheel. My husband (who is my go-to handyman) assembled it for me. No problem for him; but, from watching him, I know it would have taken me much longer. Note that, once assembled, air needs to be added to the tires. He commented on how sturdy this "Red Rover" is. I did not opt to use the training wheel that comes with it.I think that the maneuverability is pretty good; but it did take a day or two to figure out the best way to make turns. The brakes work well when going downhill on a sidewalk or in a parking lot; and it rides smoothly over the strips of annoying yellow pavement bumps that are located in front of my health clinic, restaurants, grocery stores, etc., here in San Diego!I am now able to use a boot on my foot instead of a splint. At this point, I can put "some" weight on my foot but need to be cautious. So I am still using the scooter around my home and when making trips outside my home. I recommend that, if you go to the theatre or some other seated event, you call ahead to make sure there's a place to store the scooter while you enjoy the show.
