Hoover SteamVac Nozzle Clean Out Tool

This was a total waste of money... it should have been priced at $2.00 ... it is nothing more than a piece of cheap plastic that I could have easily made myself out of scrap 5 gal buckets. Very poor quality and excessively over prices. Cut a piece of plastic one inch wide about 12 inches long with the head made into a two sided anchor... Works just as good and saves your hard earned money.

Let's forget the fact that this piece of plastic really should just be included when you buy a steam cleaner. (If they're not going to let us take off the front cover to get the gunk out, then please provide a way to clean it out.)If we forget that, this tool is pretty helpful. It's just a long, sturdy piece of plastic. It's handy, and it does work. I'm not sure any other tools you might have around would be as effective, although I did try a hanger before I bought this thing. It kind of worked to get out the big clumps of pet hair (gross), etc., but this tool was able to get what the hanger missed.

Cleans your Hoover carpet cleaner vacuum chamber, mine is the Hoover SteamVac with Clean Surge, model #F5914-900, bought in 2004. You just feed the tool up from the front of your vacuum up to the area you wish to clean (see picture). Probably best to clean right after you cleaned your carpet as the junk will still be wet and easier to get out, although I got some of it out dry too.

First of all, this little plastic tool should be included when you purchase the Hoover Steam Vac. I have dogs in the house and even though I vacuum well before using my steam vac, their fur still gets into those openings and there is absolutely NO WAY to get it out again. SO.....this little tool. Simple as it is I suppose it does a decent job. Hoover should be ashamed of themselves for forcing their customers to make this purchase. It is very inexpensive, of course, but just a hassle once you use your steam vac and realize "how do I get all that hair out of the nozzles????" But if you have the Hoover Steam Vac then you definitely need this tiny, plastic thingy.

Works perfectly in my Hoover steam vac. The only think that will take all of the debris out of your machine. I tried using other things coat hanger , thick paper could not remove it. This removed dirt easily.

I lost the original clean out tool that came with Steamvac. This was an exact replacement and necessary if you have pets. Even if you vacuum first, this tool is needed to clean pet hair out of Steamvac. Not fancy, but works pretty well.

This tool saves me a lot of time cleaning our steam cleaner. You just put it in the bottom of the unit and pull it in and out a few times and it pulls out all the junk caught in it without have to disassembling it. Great tool.
