Great pedals
Great pedals. Easy to install. No slip when riding.

Good, solid pedals for trekking bike
On the heavy side at just over half a kilo the pair, but should put up with some punishment. Time will tell of course. I found a set of orange reflectors from a scrap pair of XLC pedals, removed the plastic back plates, and dropped them into the new Shimanos. Perfect. The reflectors are marked as Cat Eye RR-1-A, and seem to be advertised on Ebay.

3 sets and 3 failures
3 pairs of pd-ef202 have all resulted in the same problem - this being a click on each revolution of the pedal. It is irritatingly annoying when you spend time keeping your bike maintained to have something from such a reputable manufacturer clicking all the time. Like I say 3 sets of the same pedals giving the same click. I clocked 14k miles on a pair of DMR V12 and they are still fine (pretty grubby visually though) less than 200 miles on the Shimano and they're scrap value only

Decent pedals - lack grip
These seem decent solid pedals. However the one fault is that they are less grippy than other similar pedals I have had. Ultimately lacking somewhat especially in wet weather.I suggest buying an alternate with more grip, maybe EF-102 or EF-205

Solid flat pedals
Bought for commuting, pretty good, smooth.Only one downside - slippy when wet, flat sole would be a problem.

Cannot buy reflectors that fit this item in the UK
I haven't received the pedals yet but should warn customers that it is impossible to buy the reflectors in the UK (other than one place that charges a fortune in Italy). This is clearly a product for the central European market and not the UK. Shimano UK were not remotely helpful either. Bit disappointed as it's quite an important part of a pedal and it's so annoying that it is not a available. I miss the EU.
