ASUS VN279Q 27" Full HD 1920x1080 DisplayPort HDMI VGA Eye Care Monitor

I agree with many of these reviews so there is not much more I can say. Ive had these for nearly 2 years (purchased Jan. 2, 2018) and they are performing very well. I am an ASUS fan and have had multiple products from them and have had superior performance from them all. My PC is basically an ASUS computer, and that is on purpose.I do all the normal PC stuff and game quite a bit. This monitor looks great in every situation. I can't wait to run RDR2 in Nov. Im gonna crank up the graphics to ultra and ride!My only gripe I guess is the speakers. I wouldn't plan to use them as a good source of sound. Not that many ppl use monitor speakers often, it is worth pointing out.ASUS makes great products. This monitor is superb. DO not hesitate if on sale. Worth every dollar!

There's not a whole lot of reviews on this unit (on the internet) and since I wanted something to replace my 27" monitor with a smaller bezel, this seemed like the perfect fit. Since the AMVA+ panels seemed to be getting good reviews from reputable message boards, so I decided to go out on a whim and get it.First thing, there is a variable amount of burn in time for the unit, and even that said, it's not a great unit for someone that doesn't enjoy calibrating it to perfection. However when I got it to settings I liked I was very impressed with the color and viewing angles, something that plagued my old HP 2709m. It's light and moves when asked too by my monitor arms (Even though my arms say their rated for 22" monitors). Also, the bezels, it's crazy thin.The only thing I'd say could be a con is that the front of the button panel seems to get very warm to the touch, but I don't really have my hands on my monitor a whole lot.

I am a computer engineer and work 8 hrs a day in front of 9 27"monitors... I own several Samsung monitors (S27D390 - PLS type) and now the VN279Q. Unhappy with the Samsung picture (slight 1/8" shadow on the right edge), I hoped the ASUS would be better. I was "just about" to return these because of the inferior ''text" quality and discovered the "VividPixel" setting (default-on-25). Turned it off and.... wow... this is a GREAT monitor. The black levels are spectacular, text is crisp, no perceived light bleed, CLEARLY superior to the S27's. Wish I found these before now..

Bought 3 of these to make a triple monitor setup via display port...all I have to say is WOW! Great monitors, love them. Very bright and vibrant and happy.UPDATE 9/3/2015: OK, I have had these for about 6 months now and they are still running great. The picture is very good, gaming is fun, and having them in a 3 monitor setup has been amazing. Still highly recommend the monitors. My ONLY complaint is that they run HOT. They really heat up and are very warm to the touch. And with having them of them in a 12x12 office in my home, they heat the room up after about 30-60 minutes of use. Temp in the room will run 5 degrees warmer than when they are in idle/sleep mode. So, for the massive heat they put out, I am knocking my review 1 star.

I bought three of these and they all work great in eyefinity. Picture is great and has allot of presets for different settings. I love the extremely thin bezels. Just a heads up if you are going to get more than one or have this monitor far from you PC the cables that come with it are pretty short around 4 1/2 foot. I had to buy a few cables but that's just a circumstantial con. I have used the speakers in one of these monitors briefly just for a test and there not half bad, was not expecting much. Easy to take off the OEM stand for my triple monitor stand. All in all nice monitor for a pretty fair price.

Absolutely love it. I have 2 of these monitors (Owned the first one for about 7 months now and just purchased a second) and the display is awesome. If there was a complaint it would be that the stand only allows you to tilt the screen. The height is fixed. Not a problem if you can get it the way you want it. Outside of that I have only praise for these monitors. I am not a person who chases the brand name but, outside the Asus A7 series motherboards I have been very happy with every Asus product I have ever purchased.

The monitor was a low grade type used only for security camera viewing. It worked fine for a month and all of a sudden it lost its ability to recognize the HDMI signal coming from the security systems DVR. i checked to make sure using my 34" LG ultrawide I have for a desktop monitor and it worked flawlessly.I called Amazon and they'll refund my money no problem. I in return purchased another LG 34" ultrawide monitor very similar to the older one to replace the previous Asus clunker.The individual camera squares on the new monitor were obviously bigger and way easier to see from across the room. Stick with a winner like these LG 34" models and avoid Asus monitors all together. Asus makes great routers but not flat panel monitors in my opinion.

Very good for the money got it on sale and with a $30 rebate. I am using these for my tri monitor set up and it looks great. Very slim bezel and very crisp quality.Pros:Great quality pictureSlim bezel great for multi monitor setup.East to install standCons:I personally don't like that the buttons are on the back of the monitor but that's just me but on a good note the buttons being on the back allow it to have the slim bezel.I noticed a slight lean because I have more that one but there is an easy fix by leaning the other one against it to make it even with on another.The speakers aren't that great just FYI. I don't use them personally but just in case you were looking for good speakers in a monitor. You are better off getting a TV if you are going to use the speakers for your audio.Great recommend to someone that wants a 27" multi monitor setup.4 Year update:one of the monitors developed a yellow vertical line. Sucks but they lasted a good while but 4 years monitors should be able to last longer especially when all they do is sit on a desk. I still love these monitors will most likely get another one to replace. They are much cheaper now.

This monitor is really good and here are some reasonsThe quality is very nice once you turn off vivid pixelThis monitor is awesome for gamingThe design is beautifulBuilt in speakers (but if you are a gamer then you probably us headphones)I purposely bought this monitor so i can record in a better resolution and for playing games this monitor is a perfect size also some might be thinking that because the monitor is big must mean the pixels are also big, but they are actually very small.Though this monitor is not just for gaming it is also good for video editing, graphic designing, web browsing and lots of other stuff.I would recommend this monitor to anybody.So overall this monitor is very good and that is why I gave it 5 stars.

Apenas llevo unos días con el monitor, hasta ahora la primera impresión es muy buena.Excelente precio (con descuento) para ser tan delgado, ligero y además traer soporte VESA y Display Port.Cuidaron bien los detalles, al punto de traer tapas de hule si no usas el VESA y tapa para cableado.Los colores bien para el precio, algo raros en algunos ajustes predeterminados. Debes revisar cual te gusta mas. En Standard los colores no destacan, si lo hacen en modo juego o Scenery. O ajuste manual.El audio... típico de audio de monitor, digamos que suena.

this monitor works really well for everything. I'm using it as a second screen but I would be ok using it as my main screen
