NOT a fetal doppler, but works great!
NOTE: This is not a fetal doppler for hearing the baby's heartbeat. I was sure it would work until i realized it does not have high enough frequency to detect baby's heart beat. However, i did hear clearly my heart beat, sounds from my intestines and water moving inside. So don't expect to hear fetal movement. Excellent quality of material. The ear buds were a little uncomfortable if wearing for a long time and the metal turned inward so you have to hold it in place or it will not work properly. (Side note: the head of the doppler sometimes came off. Be careful with the head as it will not settle and the threads can break while screwing it back on.

Great Buy!
I'm a M.A and used this throughout my clinicals. I have to say 💭 I'm extremely pleased with it. I can hear heartbeats💓 and pulse very clearly even thru clothing, talking & background noises. Which wasn't the case at all with the one the school 🏫 gave me.I've also received many compliments on it. It's bright, cute, reliable and has weight to it; meaning it's not flimsy or cheap just because I didn't pay $100 for it. I definitely think this stethoscope is a worthy substitute to the more high end ones. I like it so much that i plan on purchasing 2 more in different colors.

This is a good scope for the price. The "sea frost", which is a translucent green color, is awesome. The sound quality is quite decent, better than I expected. But for some reason a second EMI sprague scope (in marine green) that I bought has slightly better sound quality than this one. Both are pretty good though. This won't compete with the top of the line stethoscopes that cost over $100, but it's good for someone like me who is still in school. Still, ultimately I decided to return it. Here's why.......The main problem I had with this EMI Stethoscope is that I have to cram the eartips in tight. They are not very soft or pliable so it hurts and they keep trying to pop out. (I have small ear canals so this may not be a problem for everyone, but certainly is for me). Another problem was that it feels too heavy. I am very aware of it when it is hanging around my neck. Also I found myself constantly trying to adjust the tubing so it would lay flat, or at least get it so both tubes were curving in the same direction in the same place. No matter how I tried adjusting it the tubes always looked a bit "out of sync" with each other.Fortunately I found a similar MDF stethoscope which is in the same price range (I paid $13.51). It comes in a pretty translucent green color called "ice angel" which is very similar to the EMI "sea frost". (See my pics, the EMI is on the left side and the MDF is on the right side.) The difference in color is slight, and the EMI is frosted while the MDF is clear with a slight sheen to it. Both are very pretty. The styling is slightly different as the tubing on the MDF joins together under the chin to form one tube. The EMI has two tubes all the way down. The MDF has much softer, more comfortable ear tips and they stay in place very well for me. I can hear just as well if not better with the MDF. Probably in part due to the fit of the eartips. (Again, this may not be an issue for everyone but for me it was. So if you have real small ear canals then the MDF will likely be a better fit.) The MDF is slightly longer than the EMI, maybe about an inch or slightly less. The MDF is significantly lighter than the EMI. I am not aware of the the MDF when it is around my neck but the EMI felt heavy to me.So anyway, this is a very decent scope for the price. It is worth a try, especially if you have Amazon prime which has free returns. In fact I likely would have kept this stethoscope if I hadn't found the MDF model which I personally prefer.

Solid Stethoscope, ID Tag, Spare Parts
I'm an EMT with my local volunteer fire department. I ended up cannibalizing my other steth for the earpiece assembly and tubing to replace those parts on a cheap automotive stethoscope to make it more usable, so I needed a new one. This fit the bill nicely. I can easily pick up the pulse when taking bp readings. I like the name tag included. The first thing I did when I got it was to print off name labels on my Brother P-Touch (another Amazon deal!) Anyway, I'm pleased with the quality and build for the price. I like the seafoam colored tubing....a little different from everyone else's.

average for a $10 stethoscope
I give it three stars for the quality you would expect from a $10 stethoscope, it gets the job done but I need to really focus to hear heart and breath sounds. I currently have a litmann cardio stethoscope and love that one but decided to get a second cheaper one just incase I needed a backup. If you're looking for an everyday stethoscope then I would suggest spending a little more to get better quality, but if you just need a back up and don't plan on using it in serious situations then this will be fine. The tubing is light weight but feels thin, and the bell and diaphragm are significantly heavy, pulling the stethoscope off to one side if draped around your neck. I will say that when switching between the bell and diaphragm, the click that you feel when it locks in place feels like the high quality ones. The ear pieces don't fit in my ear as well as my main stethoscope, but then again for the price I paid I can't compare the two. In my opinion its an average stethoscope for its price range but I wouldn't use it as a main stethoscope. I feel like many of the negative reviews are judging this stethoscope as if they wanted $200 quality for the $10 cost.

Great gifts for 5 and 2 year old granddaughters.
Purchased for my granddaughters for Valentine's Day. Babysat them during the week of Valentine's. We had planned Valentine activities all week that included learning about the heart. They had a lot of fun listening to their and our hearts, lungs and tummies. They enjoy getting them out when playing doctor and listening to their dog's heart beat. Definitely, a great price for a stethoscope that really works. Don't waist your money on toy stethoscopes. The 2 year old needed some help at first getting in her ears properly but quickly managed on her own. Important to discuss with kids not to bang the bell with the stethoscope in the ears because it is loud.
