It really, really works!!
I held off writing a review until I had used this for a couple of cycles. I have been going thru the change for the past year or so with irregular periods, mood swings etc. Actually, I am pretty sure I have been in peri-menopause for over 10 years!! I am so mad that I didn't find this stuff sooner and maybe I wouldn't have suffered like I have for the past 12 years!! As much research that I have put into my health I can't believe I never researched low progesterone and its symptoms. It all started when I was 36, it was like a switch was turned on and I turned into a p---ed off b--ch! I was mad at everything, nothing made me happy. I also gained weight, had heavy periods and my libido suddenly disappeared. At that point I had also had thyroid disease for 8 years. I went to so many doctors and switched thyroid meds many times, was put on Zoloft and gained 40 pounds which made me even more depressed!! I exercised, changed my diet, I did everything and still no relief. I went to my gynecologist and they said my testosterone was low and I started pellet therapy which did make my libido shoot sky high but I also grew sideburns and a mustache. It was also very expensive!! Looking back, my moods and everything revolved around my cycle and went from few days of PMS, to one week of it and then finally I really only felt good one week out of the month. I started taking DIM Plus by Nature's Way about 8 years ago and that really helped but didn't get rid of everything, I do highly recommend this supplement though because it did take that edge off, still no libido though. I just recently had my hormones checked again and my estrogen is high, progesterone low and testosterone low normal. Again the gyno suggested that I go back on the pellets at $600 a pop every 6 months. She told me not to do the progesterone cream, it wouldn't help. I didn't want to go the hairy beast route again so I bought the Smoky Mountain progesterone cream and the estriol cream and tried both a month ago. I immediately noticed a difference in my mood and within 2 days my hot flashes were completely gone along with my night sweats!! I couldn't believe it, I also had a sense of well being, I just felt good, like everything was right in my world!! I used it for 2 weeks and then had a period so I stopped. I felt a little anxiety one day and kind of wigged out and I think that was the estriol cream. I had tried the combo before I had my hormones tested and found out my estrogen was high. Anyway, I am now on my second cycle of the progesterone cream and I haven't had any mood swings, hot flashes or anything for the past 2 months. I feel great, I have energy, brain fog has went away and even my skin even looks better, I am even singing in my car every morning on the way to work!! Oh and last but not least my libido has come back!!! I really can't say the last time I have felt this good and it has been consistent for weeks at a time and the only thing I have changed is this cream. I only use 1/8 of a teaspoon instead of 1/4 and that seems to do the trick. I put it on at bedtime and I have also been sleeping like a baby!! I normally don't write reviews unless I am extremely pleased with a product or it is terrible.Ladies don't suffer for as long as I did, get this stuff and at least try it. I am even going to get my 20 year old daughter on this and see if it improves her heavy, crampy periods. She was put on birth control and while it helped her periods it literally made her crazy! I never could tolerate birth control pills either no matter how low the dose. If this review helps just one woman, it will make me happy, hopefully it will be more!!

Best Brand, and I've been using P for over 20 years off and on
I've used a few brands, this one is my favorite. I use a very small pea-sized amount and vary the location each time. It's done wonders for my cycle. I used to do from day 12 onwards to get things started, and when peri-menopause got out of control I switched to near-daily (all cycle long, but I sometimes miss a day here and there) to keep things at bay completely (I won't describe the heaviness experienced for 6 months straight, nor how badly anemic my blood became as a result, but will simply say it was bad enough to prompt this change in dosage for me). I couldn't be happier.

I can tell a difference for sure
Be sure to read directionsI was dosing the wrong way for the first two weeks but it worked fine. I just did half a tablespoon once a day instead of splitting it up also, I have an IUD and believe I’m in menopause? I know I went through Perry, but it’s hard to tell with an IUD because you don’t have a cycle. Anyways good luck ladies

Progesterone for acne
I'm using this cream to treat hormonal acne. I've only been using it for a few weeks now and I'll update this review in a month or two, to try and help someone else like me.I'm a 31 year old female and I've been battling cystic acne for about 16 years! When I was going through miscarriages, my skin was a mess for a while, but when I was pregnant with my daughter, my face was almost totally clear (when you're pregnant, your body doesn't stop making progesterone like it does a day or two before your period). I've also always kept a great skin care routine and decent diet, so I know I have hormonal acne. After a lot of research, I think I have PCOS... I have EVERY pcos symptom, except the ovarian cysts!!From my research, I've found that if your body is low on progesterone, it can have elevated testosterone and estrogen levels, which cause break outs. But, if it has enough progesterone, all hormones should balance out and your face should be clear. Because of this, I'm using progesterone cream from day 12-28 of my cycle. I chose this brand because it's natural, because of it's reviews and because reviewers said it shipped fast (it shipped 2 days before when it was promised). I can tell it works fast because after applying it to my skin, I can feel its calming effects. So far, using this has made my face break out a little more than what it usually does. But, from my research, when you first use progesterone cream, it causes estrogen to rise higher than what it normally does, until your body is used to it... So I need to use it for a few cycles to see any improvement :-/No, I didn't get a medical opinion about this, but it's my body and I really hope this works!Update: 2nd cycle using progesteroneMy face was clear the day before ovulation and there were 3 cystic bumps the day ovulation started, which is day 12 of my cycle. This is normal for me, but I never paid close attention to where I was in my cycle when this happened. I started progesterone that day and there weren't any miracles. About 5 days in, I decided to put the cream on my face and neck, instead of my arms. Instead of the cystic bumps lingering for at least 2 weeks, they were smaller the next morning! Today is day 28 of my cycle and I have to stop taking it so I can start the next cycle. I think my face freaked out that day, last month, but hopefully it'll be different this month!Oh, I also take green tea extract to curb my appetite. It is supposed to be a natural testosterone suppressant. It may or may not be effecting my hormone experiment...

Disappointed
I ordered this cream because of the excellent price however failed to find the ingredients list prior to purchasing. Once I received the product, I saw that the cream contains both methylparaben and propylparaben - both are preservatives that I specifically avoid at all cost and I would never expect to find in a "natural" cream in this day and age. Very disappointed to also learn that the cream is non-returnable due to "food safety reasons". It's not a food, it's a cream! So I have a sealed, unopened bottle of cream that I won't use and can't get my money back for. Lesson learned, but still disappointed!
