The adhesive needed to be more sticky

Used for large BGE (both top and bottom gasket around the opening). Plenty left over so seems reasonable that would fit extra large as stated.Sticks just fine as long as you scrape the old one off, clean and dry - that whole process (getting old cleaned off) is really the main effort. Putting the new one on is easy.I used my egg a few hours later - no issues since then on the gasket holding (have used it 3-4 times since then.Would recommend.

UPDATE: after 72 hours of application plus pressure, the gasket seems to have made an excellent seal. I am upping my prior one-star to a four-star, with the remaining star withheld because the instruction did not emphasize this need to apply even pressure and wait. Having done this, the gasket seems great.ORIGINAL REVIEW: “Self-adhesive,” seems to be a generous term to apply. The adhesive wouldn’t trap an octogenarian mosquito. I will update this review after waiting the requisite 24 hours — maybe it needs to set. But I could not apply it to the top dome; it literally fell off when only three inches were on. I had hoped to avoid removing the dome. So far, I am unimpressed.

it was interesting to change the Gasket, not easy to remove old gasket, but the new one goes on extremely easy.... guess I should change mine more then once in 3 years....

This felt gasket was perfect for my BGE. It sticks great, I had to scrape off the old felt and thoroughly clean and prep the edge for the new felt. It conforms to the circular nature of the grill no problem. We have a Large BGE, and after installing this, there seems to be plenty left to redo the felt down the road when needed.

I accidentally burned up the original vision gasket that lasted almost 7 years. I replaced it with this brand which said it was compatible. The gasket as you can see is clearly not as thick as the original OEM. Unfortunately no way to know until it's installed so now I'm out the price of this gasket and still need to buy a working gasket. Worst part is I'm about to start a cook for guest and i now have to contend with this garage!

Replaced leaky gasket after sanding down surface of smoker and cleaning with degreaser. Allow to dry and sand again to rough surface. It is a little wider than the ridge of a Big Green Egg, but it seals fine.

This seal for my BGE went on without a hitch. Of course I had to take the dome completely off. I cleaned the surfaces with a scraper and some isopropyl alcohol. Just follow the outer edge sticking the gasket down. I cut the material with a razor knife (new blade). Reassembling the dome hinge assembly was the hardest thing. But I got together without a lot of difficulty. It looks great and is ready for the brisket.
