I works for my application. I like its sturdiness, thickness even if for me it is maybe overkill. I tried the item\https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Y7DWPV4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1and it was nice and probably would have worked but I wanted a stronger coiled cord to make sure it would not fail or loos its coil.

I bought this in March 2015. It cost me like $28. Now it's $17. WHAT THE-Anyways surprised that there's no reviews but this thing is great. Yes it can get tangled but its a coiled cable. Cables will always tangle but Im the kind of guy that will deal with it because if I drop my tool (I have the ultimate focus tool) it comes bouncing back which gives me a chance to catch it. Thing has a great reach. Also really fun to play with during stand by. I also used Lucky Line 71101 Key Ring to hold my tool. Be great if it came in black but it makes it easy for people to find my tool.

I bought this on a recommendation in 2014, and haven't regretted it. In fact, I'm going to buy more. I was switching off between a C wrench and a focus tool, but I still have my ratcheting wrench on a string lanyard.The reach is great. In fact, if you drop your wrench while standing on the ground, it will hit the ground. Both carabiners lock. The color is rather bright at first, but don't worry! It will get dull and dirty very quickly. You'll still be able to find it, though, at the bottom of your workbag. I haven't had a problem with the cable getting caught on things while I'm wearing it, or coiling the wrong way.I do wish it came in different colors (black), but I guess if I cared enough I could take a Sharpie to it.

It does what it's supposed to do and stays out of the way when not in use. Plain and simple.

I work on bridges and nothing is worse than dropping a tool like a screw gun 150ft onto unsuspecting passers by. Or destroying an $200+ screw gun and $75+ battery. These have saved my bacon countless times and I couldn't be happier with their performance. My current project manager saw them hanging on my tool belt and liked the idea so much he's trying to get the company to adopt them for all employees.

There are other products (including those by the same company) that perform better for the job. It's well built, and can easily stand up to doing the job it is intended for, but wasn't the best choice for me.

This is one of the best tool lanyards out there. I also have the squids elastic lanyards, but they do not get as short as these when you put the tool back in your pocket or pouch, and they get in the way. This one shrinks down to almost 8" and stays out of the way. The swivel mechanism on one end of the lanyard is a great improvement over other coiled cable lanyards.
