I loved this set even being a fussy person
It is a excelente chess Kit!! I loved, and I know that everyone who want a economic wood chess set will love it too... I want to say that you dont have to expect a chess detail like the ones who costs houndreds of dolars because it dont have that the level of detail... But for the price it is so much better than others and it is over my highest expectations... I just can say that I am highly sorprised and I love it even when I use to be fussy with my buys... Other thing I want to say is that the pices have the same shape like the advertising... I was worried becuase one of the reviews pic shows a diferent knigth shape, but in my set the Knigth has the same exact shape from the advertising... In summary: I loved and totally worth the money

Great gift and prompt shipping
This is a great, durable and nicely crafted first chess board for my 6 year old. He has wanted to play every day since receiving it at Christmas. The pieces are decently weighted and have a nice hand crafted feel. Prompt Shipping.

Good, playable overall happy just a little pieved about the knights
Likes: its actual wood. The stain is on point. Most manufactured to spec.Dislikes: pictures do not match the build, I bought this chess board over other ones offered because of the way the knights look... this is not that. Some of the pieces are chipped, board hinges put together poorly (noticeable gap and ledge on top). Also they're a lot lighter than they look, if you like a heavier piece go with a triple weighted.

Excellent choice for a novice player.
The No. 4 Staunton chess set is the right size for my taste. It doesn't dominate the room but is large enough for casual play. It's nicely crafted but at a reasonable price. Note that it's too big for easy travel; much more suited to a coffee table.

Good Quality
If you like to play on occasion, this is a great board and pieces. The board folds tightly and holds all of the pieces in their place without issues. The pieces don't fall out or get scratched up like in some other cases I have had. As to travel, it's not super small nor is it too large to travel. You can easily put this in a backpack or suitcase as it is fairly light for being wood.
