DK Workbooks: Geography, Fifth Grade: Learn and Explore

We homeschool and this is the most interesting geography book we have found. My grandson finds it very interesting and he is always ready to do geography with this book. We have been using DK books for several years. Never disappointed.

As homeschoolers looking for light work in social studies and sciences, this book fit the bill. Easy to use and not too boring. We expand on the topics as the interest dictates via the internet. We enjoy this flexibility in discovering sciences and social studies. We will be ordering more workbooks from this company!

My son did an online history class and none of the kids could find France... I knew that wasn't going to work for me, so we added some geography to our home school goals for the year. This book is great in that my 5th grade son can use it independently when I need to be doing something else. I suspect some of this is review from his previous years in public school, but some of it is new information and he seems to like the book.

We’ve done several years of these workbooks. They are excellent. My student gets practice reading maps and it helps him practice reading comprehension, too. The worksheets are finished quickly, and my student is motivated to move to the next page.Consider buying a grade above your student’s level.

Though, I wish it was twice as thick and twice as many questions. I thought my son would finish it in one weekend. Great information and very enjoyable to work on.
