EZ way to get Goldstar at home!
We moved away from Ohio, so this is so appreciated. I make it with Impossible beef and it’s delicious!! No 4-way onions missing from our lives! You either get that or you don’t! Lol

Chose this over Skyline because the ingredients were a little cleaner. Made 1 modification to the instructions. Instead of 3oz tomato paste and 4 cups of water, I used 15oz can of tomato sauce and 2 and 3/4 cups of water. Turned out great.

Gold star Cincinnati style chili at home
I introduced family to Cincinnati style chili over the holiday. It was a mega hit! This seasoning pack makes it easy to prepare. Just need 1 lb of ground beef and a 4-6oz can of tomato paste. Easy to prepare. When I was cooking it everyone said it smelled good... We all could hardly wait to eat it! So delicious! This is going to be a repeat buy.

I can get regular chili packets at the grocery store that is actually better to my taste (but not "Cincinnati style"
For the price, I was expecting something that stands out from the competition but frankly this product comes across to me as nothing special. I can get regular chili packets at the grocery store that actually taste better to my taste (but not "Cincinnati style", which I have come to believe is more a style than a flavor). This brand of chili seasoning is a little on the bland side for my taste. The first and only batch of chili made with one of these chili packets so far was made exactly as directed but with one pound of ground chuck. As directed I added six cups of water (filtered). The ingredients were boiled for three minutes in a covered pot and then the pot was uncovered and boiled until the volume and consistency of the chili were about right. The cooked chili reduced to three pounds total weight. I used a hand blender about mid-way to get the ground beef texture a little finer.
