Very Pleased
So far I'm very pleased with my Anker USB 3.0 Hub, I ordered it because I wanted to take advantage of the USB 3.0 port on my laptop and this was really an affordable option. The hub seems to be very well-built,it's USB powered, and the cable length works for me, all the ports are on the top and well spaced, which makes it easy to get to, the LED indicator does not seem to be overly bright, and the speeds I'm getting seem to be very fast when I'm using a 3.0 USB stick. I'm very pleased with my purchase and expect I will get a lot of good service out of it.I'm not an engineer, or real technical person, when I buy something I expect it to do what I purchased it for and what the item description said it would do. I expect it to look like the advertised product, come with all of the accessories advertised, be well made, and above all, work and be dependable.

A very good USB 3 hub. Fast transfers.
Using these with a number of Intel NUC's in an office and they work well. It feels solid, various USB 3.0 flash drives, scanners, etc. all connect fast. No drivers were needed for Windows 7 or 10, the product just works well.Don't expect to plug in a spinning hard drive and have enough power. It may work (one of mine did), it may not. Most spinning HD's require a fair amount of power and if you you have a few devices plugged into the hub, there won't be enough to go around. This does NOT cause any issue with flash drives or other devices that have their own power source. You can connect 3 flashdrives, a scanner, printer, etc. and it will all work well.

Have reasonable expectations.
This works pretty well, but one needs to understand that only so much data will pass through a single port before conflicts start causing issues. Multiple items connected are great. Just make sure none of them is a data-hog. In my case, The following 2 scenarios were tried and failed - understandably:1) a monitor connected via a Kensington adaptor + a Logitech unifying RF dongle with mouse. Mouse movement became choppy to an unusable degree.2) a Bluetooth dongle with 2-way audio device and Logitech unifying RF dongle with mouse and keyboard. This worked in most circumstances, but when playing games with continuous audio the mouse and keyboard both occasionally became choppy or temporarily unresponsive. Both of these scenarios work perfectly when connected to different USB 3.0 ports on the computer.

Complete failure - installs as USB 2
I have a current year top of the line motherboard with USB 3, running fully patched windows 7 64bit. When I plug this into a fully functioning and tested USB 3 port it only sizes as a USB 2. This is appearently a common problem others have had. There are no drivers or support for this product/issue that I can find anywhere. I have rated 100s of products on Amazon and I think thus may be the only one star rating.Update July 20thStill not working. Anker sent me a support email but there are multiple problems with it. First their recommendation was to try a different computer. What? Crazy. Second was that their support email doesn't have a return email so I seem to be unable to contact them. If you check other reviews you will see that their support was to advise the person to use a different computer. They seriously seem to believe that that is helpful advice.Very, very disappointed that there is no support for this device.

Does not work with all my USB devices :/
I love Anker products. The seem to be very well made, and it doesnt stray from this USB hub. The construction seems very well made. The problem I have is that it does not seem to work with some of my devices. I have a PNY 128GB USB 3 flash drive and it will not work with it. It also was not working for a few other devices I had. I assuming its a power issue, but I have nothing else plugged into the hub when I tested.I also own an Amazon basics USB 3 extension cord and everything I plug into that works fine. This hub does works fine for my USB 2 devices though. Just wish it worked with all my devices.**UPDATE 1/6/15This device seems to work fine for sync purposes between any Apple i devices and iTunes. But a more important thing to note that I have been experiencing is that this hub randomly disconnects my drives when entering and awaking from sleep mode. This makes me worry about the safety of my data on my external drives.I cannot say I recommend this hub considering the problems I am experiencing with my late 2013 iMac 27".

NOT Western Digital Compatible
Great product! I have a WD Passport 3.0 and had no issues with connecting my device to my computer through the hub. My highest transfer rate was 42.5 MB, which is alright. It could also have something to do with my files, but that's higher than 2.0.I'm very happy with this product.Edit: It does not register external hard drives. Speeds are great when it registers something, but it doesn't always read them, which is very frustrating.

Works perfectly, and much faster than USB2
I've been using this USB3 four-port hub for about three weeks now, and it works perfectly. I typically use it with only one device: a USB3 SD card reader. Using this card reader plugged into the Anker AH401 hub, I get significantly faster reads from SD cards than I used to get with a USB2 card reader into a USB2 port.So far, I haven't used this Anker four-port hub to its potential, since I'm mostly using it to give me a convenient place to plug things into the rear-facing USB3 ports on my computer. However, so far it has not had a single glitch. My Windows 7 computer recognized it with no problem. I would definitely buy another of these.Oct 4, 2017 update: I still have this hub and use it every day. It still works perfectly -- see the attached photo to see it in all its dust-covered glory after three years of use. I very much recommend this hub.
