I’ve tried a handful of natural deodorants, and Schmidt’s Aluminum-Free Natural Deodorant (Unscented) was hands-down one of the best. The application was smooth, with no grittiness or weird texture issues. It glided on well and—most importantly—left no stains on my clothes. That alone puts it ahead of many other natural deodorants I’ve tried.Performance That Lasts All DayDespite being aluminum-free, this deodorant held up impressively well throughout the day. I’m not an athlete, but for regular daily activities, it kept odor at bay without requiring reapplication. I never experienced irritation or skin reactions, which can sometimes be a concern with natural deodorants that use baking soda or other ingredients.A Perfect Unscented OptionWhat I loved most? It was truly unscented. No overpowering essential oils, no artificial fragrances—just clean and simple effectiveness. That’s surprisingly hard to find in the natural deodorant world, where “unscented” often means “lightly scented with something earthy.”Final Thoughts—Why Can’t I Find It Anymore?!The biggest downside? It seems to have vanished from store shelves and online listings. I’m genuinely disappointed because this was my go-to deodorant, and I haven't found a replacement that checks all the same boxes. If Schmidt’s ever brings this back, I’ll be first in line to stock up.If you happen to find this unicorn of a deodorant still available somewhere—grab it while you can!

I am not sure why Univeler seems to have discontinued this particular deodorant because it has been my savior for years and now I am trying to find an unscented replacement as it becomes increasingly more difficult to find it anywhere.On me (actual temperature sweater and stress sweater), it has always been perfect : it allows me to sweat away and not be self-conscious about smelling on top of it.I would advise to never rub it in from the stick directly to your skin ! I use a spatula to scrape a bit of the product that I then apply on my underarm. I usually wait a few seconds until the product warms up and then I rub the now creamy texture into the skin. Be extra gentle : the bicarbonate can be irritating when applied roughly onto the skin so make sure to take your time and gently massage it in.Be aware this deodorant is exactly this : a deodorant so you will still sweat (it's not antiperspirant). It must also have some sort of blue-ish ingredient inside because I had to stop wearing red t-shirts when using it : a reaction occurs between the sweat and the deodorant and my t-shirts got some violet sweat stains (washable). As it has a creamy consistency, people wearing figure hugging t-shirt are probably not going to like it.If you are looking for a deodorant exempt of atrocious smell, you should definetely give it a try. It was a great (again, I belive Unilever now discontinued it...) deodorant that I am reluctantly trying to replace now.

To start I first reached out to the company regarding the staining of my clothes and the reaction my skin had which I had to go to the doctor for as there was a substantial lump in my armpit to give them a chance to remedy the damage. First they sent me a complicated list of instructions to get the stains out where I would have to buy some products I don't have and soak for 2 days. I also sent them all of my receipts for the garments that were new. They came back with a long list of things to answer - which I did. They just keep telling me to try cleaning the items myself. To replace the items and cover my costs would be under $100 but they are making me jump through hoops. I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased. UPDATE: They came back saying it was my fault that I put too much on or put my garments on too soon after applying and won't refund me for the garments. Just the item and my doctor visit co-pay. So mad!

I like no smell. Product will cover smelly arm pit odor! Product is good. I keep it in my refrigerator to make it firmer. After I apply it, I then have to wipe excess off w paper towel. Product leaves white stains on clothes. Which is difficult to remove, as Product is pretty waterproof.

This deodorant is awesome! I feel like I have tried ten different deodorants and each one gave me this gross smell when mixed with my sweat. I tried this one and I don’t smell a thing! I’ve had this deodorant for about a month and I’ve been sweating in the 100 degree California heat and I have had no BO issues. This deodorant is not antiperspirant so you will still sweat but this particular deodorant recipe works well with my body. I definitely recommend this deodorant to anyone looking for a natural deodorant with no fragrance and for someone who does not want to have a gross deodorant smell when ever they start to sweat.It’s in the directions but hold it against your armpit for about 30 seconds to warm it up so it can get a bit softer which will make it easier to apply. I will definitely be buying more of this deodorant!!
