Lovely
Bought these at our local Chinese grocery for probably $3-4 a package. They are surprisingly lovely for a cheap, quick snack. pandan extract has some nice health benefits, including lowering inflammation, although you can probably find healthier ways to include pandan in your cooking instead of little sugar-filled cakes. These things are not fancy or anything, and I expected them to be too dry and to throw them away. However, since I love pandan, I bought these, and I was glad I did. They are relatively moist little cakes -- somewhere between a yellow cake and a pound cake -- with a definitive (but not too strong) pandan flavor. The only problem is that they are a bit addictive, and I ended up eating one every single day until the package was gone.

dry and flavourless with an odd aftertaste
i received this in my universal yums, Philippines March 2016, box. i admit i am not a huge fan of sponge cakes, but this particular one was completely dry and flavourless. it was very light and airy and stayed that way in your mouth... didn't form a nice, soft "goo" like most sponge cakes do. i was excited to try pandan, but this cake had no flavour at all. it did, however, have a strange aftertaste and left your mouth dry.
