Ordered these to use for hanging a "shade sail" on our back patio in San Francisco. Attachment points on a fence and a 2nd story window ledge. These made it MUCH easier to take the sail down, as we frequently do, because of very windy conditions here. I used them with line that is probably a little too skinny, and has a slippery outer cover, but they worked just fine. Seems like they'll hold well, as the sail stayed up for a couple of days accidentally when we went out of town, and there were 30 MPH winds all weekend!

These rope tighteners work great on paracord and hold strong. They are quite weather resistant too.

The lever that releases the line from tension has a small plastic nub that moves the internal cam. It broke after 2 uses. Took a huge effort to get it to release. Needed a small screw driver to manually release the internal cam. Huge deficiency in the design. This was holding a canvas on a boat cover. Not much pressure on the cam, it should not have failed. Buyer beware.

For light loads these work great.With a working load limit of 165 pounds, I thought it would easily hold a 35-40 pound load but unfortunately the cam would slowly slip under the weight.I replaced it with a 1/4-inch metal ratchet (iPower FLROPEMG4X2A) which held the load with no problems.

So I’ve had other clips like these in the past and they did not hold up. I purchased these and use them on a Clam Tent and they work great. I use screw down anchors in the ground, para cord and these clips and they’ve held up in 40 mph plus wind and no issues. Great product.

Super fast to tie something down.

These are simple to use, sturdy, and convenient. They are awesome for cargo tie downs and other general use applications.

Bought these for my son’s hammock and they are crap.
