Everything you need
I have a Zoeller 3/4 horse shallow well jet pump (Model 1461-0006) that I purchased from a big box hardware store a few years ago that I use mainly for my residential sprinkler system. I typically drain the pump and blow down my system during the winter months and then re-prime and put it back into service in the spring. I get a few years of use and then the shaft seal invariably fails. I think I actually helped it along as it took longer than normal this time to get the pump primed and operational. Long story short I needed a new seal, or a new pump. I did some googling and came up with this kit and then called Zoeller to confirm that it was the right one for my model pump. It's a bit on the spendy side and the instructions leave alot to be desired, but I was able to replace the seal a month ago and so far so good (thank you youtube!). The hardest part was getting the impeller off, I actually had to hold the shaft at the rear of the motor so that I could put enough torque on the old impeller to get it off the shaft. The slotted end of the shaft on the impeller side was not enough to allow me to do this. Unfortunately I disturbed the speed sensor on the motor side of the shaft and had to figure out how to re-assemble it which cost me some time. After that the install was uneventful (other than re-assembling the spring loaded speed sensor on the motor end), I was able to remove the motor and seal assembly from the impeller housing without disconnecting any of the plumbing or electrical which reduced the overall time. From disassembly to re-assembly and prime took me about an hour and a half. I included a few pictures of my pump in various stages of disassembly and shots of the label plates for reference. Overall great kit, just a bit on the spendy side for what you get ($76!!) but definitely less than what I would have paid for a new pump. A lower pricepoint will get you 5 stars vice 4!

Couldn't do it
Decided that the pump wasn't worth fixing as it didn't last long from when I bought it. So I got a new pump and sending the repair parts back.
