Dynomax Race Bullet 24217 Exhaust Resonator

Went from open Y pipe on my 2000 trans am to having this with a 4 inch turndown right before the axle. This exhaust setup is what heaven sounds like. It's not as loud as people say. It's perfect in my opinion especially for a weekend/strip machine. It gave the ugly open y pipe sound some much needed tone and helped quiet it down much more than I thought it would. I should have done this a long time agoThe muffler is excellent quality as are the welds.

Was looking for a lower coast muffler so my cummins would pass inspection and this one fit the bill price was right length was correct so I'm overall happy with it changed the sound some not much thou

Gives awesome racecar sound with easy install

Just like the other reviewer on here, this muffler is not a slip-fit as most are; it's really a press-fit, which as you may know, makes it quite difficult to install in exhaust, since the only thing you can do is hammer on it to try to get it on. This is not the way it's supposed to go! I'm a certified technician, and after 3 decades of working on cars and installing mufflers, I've never had one that didn't slip on. The sound on my 7.3 Power Stroke is great! Mellows the sound over a straight pipe setup when you have a full 4-inch system with larger intake, turbo, and no cat. I'd have given it 5 stars if it installed like normal. But what would have been a 15-minute job became a frustrating hour job!

My straight piping was a little loud on my 1996 Dodge 3500. Bought this after some research. Just wanted to tone the exhaust down a little. Arrived quickly and I installed right after the down pipe. Worked great. Really nice grumble and cut down on the drone In the cab. But it only gets 4 stars as I took away the whistle from the turbo out the tail pipe. I will be removing it soon, but I will keep it for when the straight pipe and drone become to much in the future. (Haha)

Good product

tried to slip it over my 4" diesel exhaust pipe so it would look like i had a muffler(for state inspection purposes) interior is smaller than expected and wouldnt slip on. Ended up splitting it down the middle and welding it on.
